Vx610 verifone change prefix to dial 9

It all depends on the application. It would be best to contact your technical support service to have the prefix added to the programing parameters they are hosting for you. Then you can download the new parameters using your 9 prefix by editing the *ZP prarameter to include 9,18#########. To add the , press * ALPHA.

I have a verifone vx610. I need to change the sim card. I have looked at the online pdf and the instructions and pictures don't match up to what I have. When I removed the sled from the bottom of the...

You may or may not be looking at a GPRS modem (which require a SIM to operate) for your Verifone Vx610 . It could be a CDMA modem instead. To tell the difference (as long as the labels haven't been removed), simply look at the outside of the modem (you don't even need to remove that Phillips head screw and remove the modem from the terminal). You're looking for up to three labels: One is S/N:XXX-XXX-XXX and a barcode - does it read Sierra EVDO? A second one is CDMA-1.67-VZW-P1 act deact act The third one is ESN HEX:1234ABCD (8 alphanumeric characters) and ESN DEC:12345678910 If any one of these is true, it's CDMA and does not use a SIM. If none of these is true

Verifone vx610

#1 You need the Vmac and Comserv applications that were deleted when you cleared memory in order to perform an IP download. Without them you can only perform a dial only download.
#2 The programming for your VX510 will not load in your VX610 because they doth identify to the server as different models. If you did get the vx610 to connect and request your vx510 file you would only recieve an error "Application not configured" or "file not found"

Pro Tip: You can still clone VX terminals reguardless of model with the correct cable. Enter system mode and press 0 the # or 0 then * to send and recieve. This would put the application from the vx510 into the vx610 but your vx610 may not work through a com method other than dial depending on your processor.

Verifone vx610 decline code 248

This is tricky to answer... different processing service use different codes. If the software you are running is built on a St. Pete's platform, this code means that the transaction you were processing was a 'reversal' (void) and the amount entered didn't match the original.

If you were running a sale and received this code and the display or receipt actually printed "declined" - it is a valid response indicating the customer card was declined and the code tells the service rep at your processing center why it was turned down (over limit, high risk, frozen account, etc...). If the response did show the word "declined", you can call your customer service department for your processor and they should be able to tell you what the code means in their system. If they don't - change processors as this is a standard service.
