SOURCE: Dishwasher tripping the circuit breaker

Andy, leave the breaker off and remove the toe panel (bottom panel) from the dishwasher. Remove the cover of the junction box where the cord connection or wiring is made. Look at the wire caps and see if they are not burnt. Sometimes these connections become loose and arch, tripping the breaker. If so, cut the wires, strip a new end and reconnect. SOURCE: Pond pump trips circuit breaker

The circuit breaker trips because there is an electrical short in the pump itself or in the wire feeding the pump. A cause of this could be a bare wire, or a crack in a wire. Remove the pump and put it in a five gallon pail of water and test it. If it still trips the breaker you will know the problem is in the pump or the cord to the pump.

Any ideas as to why the panel breaker for my Goodman CPE24-1AB heat pump would immediately trip when the air conditioner is turned on?

Without looking up the specifications for this heat pump, I cannot be certain, but I expect the operation to provide cooling may require more power than when heating. You probably can find the specifications online for this unit. As you probably know, power is measured in watts and is calculated by voltage times current. This also is likely to be 240 volts operation. If you take the specified power on cooling and divide by voltage (240), that will indicate the current in amperage that will be required to start it. Your circuit breaker is set for current and needs to be a higher current than is required. If that is the problem, you can buy circuit breakers at Home Depot or Lowes. You have to remove the front panel of your breaker box and snap out the circuit breaker. To be safe it would be good to turn off the main breaker switch before you open the front panel and remove the circuit breaker for the heat pump. Should your calculation of current required be less than the rating of the circuit breaker, that implies a malfunction of the heat pump in the cooling mode and would require a service call to the local representative of the heat pump manufacturer.

I have a Jacuzzi circa 1998 model Z140 spa. The 50 amp gfi breaker is continually trippinhg. The electronic control box is a Balboa instruments MODEL, DU-H276-DCAH. A relay on the circuit board chatters...

Hello - sounds like you will need to replace the relay itself if possible, if not you most likely need to replace the circuit board considering its age.You can check by diconnecting the power to the board.
If you are not an electrition and you dont work with electrical STOP NOW!! and call electrition.
Following steps would be 1. Turn off breaker. 2.Disconnect wiring to the board. 3.Wire nutt off electrical to the board.
4. Turn breaker back on. If breaker does not trip , board will need repaired or replaced.

After installing my titan N100 the breaker keeps tripping went from 50 amp breaker to 60 and still keeps tripping how do Isolve this problem?

You had an instant heater there before? Or a different type? Your breaker numbers don't mean anything to me, I need amps and volts, what is the amp? 30? and the volt is 220? Or are you in Europe?. And you had the four wires in there before? And you have all 4 wires on the heater line? And the heater is grounded? It should work. Unless it is not getting enough juice, but you already upped the amp. Let me know what you got.

Why does my washing machine trip the electric

run the machine, after it trips, unplug and carefully touch the motor,it may have a bad capacitor, or dry bearings causing it to draw excessive current,if these 2 things are not it, then look for a bare wire that may be touching case during this part of the cycle, and if you can get an "Amprobe" it reads current and check machines current draw during the start to trip current

Circuit breaker trips when turning unit on. only unit on circuit has triped on several circuits can find no shorts on wiring.

DOES IT BLOW THE BRAKER AS SOON AS IT TURNS ON OR DOES IT TAKE A FEW SECONDS. INSTANTLY WOULD MORE LIKELY BE A SHORT IF FEW SECONDS THE COMPRESSOR IS PROBABLY DRAWING MORE AMPS THAN THE BREAKER CAN HANDLE SO IT BLOWS. TRY TAPPING THE COMPRESSOR NEXT TIME YOU ATTEMPT A HOUSE CURRENT START UP. i HAVE A WINDOW AIR CONDITIONER THAT NEEDS TAPPED FOR STARTUP FOR THE SUMMER SEASON. GOOD LUCK

Delta Radial arm saw 33-990 tripping circuit breaker

More than likely motor but try this , if you have a wrap around amp probe or can borrow one or purchase a cheap one place the amp probe around the positive wire connected to panel breaker ,with meter on proper scale ,start saw and read probe current , if cap bad current will be high and stay until breaker trips , if motor will start high on start ,then low then ,very high and breaker will trip , be careful in panel working around live circuits , the reason it reads this way is because as the motor warms the laminates it the armature separate and cause the increase in current to spike ,if cap bad never gets to speed and has high current draw constantly , to verify cap(1) remove from circuit (2)place a screw driver across terminals to release any charge (3), then take ohm meter on ohms place meter leads on terminals one on each terminal at same time meter will rise and fall back(4) reverse leads and should rise and fall as before if it does this it is more than likely good a lot of electrical reasons for this but this will tell you what you wanted to know , good luck
