Question about Solar Noma 7 Day, 6 Event Outdoor Timer - Easy To Use +warr

1 Answer

I also have a Noma N1564 and need programming instructions, and have checked the timers in the link provided to no avail (your page link: www.fixya.com/support/t7200953-noma_timer_cat_no_n1564). I have a pic of the controls as requested and have followed your advice re the Imgur.com attachment method and have issues with the upload. I have asked the support staff at FixYa for assistance and have been told to ask again here (no help), is there an address I can send the pics to using IE?

    Hello geno_3245,
Thank you for the promt reply, as this was a free inquiry I was anticipating a much longer wait. It's great to find who take helping others seriously. This appears to be a site full of excellant resources, and it was quite a chore searching the web to get here. I realize how my previous posting may look as you were not the one to receive my initial inquiry to support - I had originally asked about posting my email in the comment box and whether it would be public, they didn't mention it in their reply... no offence was intended.

Imgur appears to hang at the upload phase. I just tried and it gave the "uploading" status for about 15-20 min with the spinning circle icon, I have resized the pick to 82.0K and 75.4K respectively. Irealize of course that assistance can only be given If the manual AND/OR the info exists. For $5-20 the quick fix would indeed be to buy new, I simply wish to limit the landfill contributions as much as possible.

I appreciate the time and efforts you are contributing to this issue. It's frustrating that a company opts for a generic name only instead of providing the average consumer with a method of proper identification. I have created a photobucket account if that would suffice for viewing. http://s1094.photobucket.com/albums/i453...

Hope this leads to the elusive info, again I thank you.

    Richard

Fixya support did help you.
You have to be resourceful, persistent and patient, which is how you got right here.

You are asking for a free answer. If you do not want free help, then re-post question and offer $3-5 for another expert.
I am the timer expert.
I have long lists of timers and test and research timers each day.
I will enjoy getting your photo to finally identify elusive N1564.

1) Here's how to use IE to send photo to me.
Imgur has changed:
Go to site: http://imgur.com/
Drag and drop your image directly onto page. (If you cannot do this, then add a comment)
Click 'start upload' when it appears
Next page that comes up shows your image
Copy the URL that appears on top of page. For example: http://imgur.com/kV2Qr

2) Add a comment to this thread, and give that URL.
Do you see the link on this page that says "add a comment?" Click that link to communicate directly with me for free help on this problem.

3) IF your timer appears in my files, AND I have a manual, THEN I will post the manual.

4) If there is no manual available for free, then resourceful do-it-yourselfer can buy a new timer today for $5 - $10 locally at Lowes, Home Depot, ACE, Target and Walmart, or online through Amazon.com, Smarthome.com, Shopping.com, Shopwiki.com, Intermatic store , Grainger, Electric supply, aplus etc.

5) NOMA is an old Intermatic name.
That name is now used for 100's of different timers made by all sorts of companies from First Alert to Stanley, Ameritac, Sunbeam, etc ... and each timer is sold under different numbers.
Many old Intermatic timers are no longer made and there is no manual.
Some old designs are still made and sold under different names and numbers.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will have a try at them and see what I can do. May take a while (have dial-up) but either way I will let you know. As for the pictures, I have no problems with you using them in any way. Once my battery charges, I'll post an anterior view with the logo

Woods/Noma timers are repackaged and sold under many numbers.

1) Take a minute and add a comment describing timer buttons, I will search my files for a similar timer, and might be able to help.

2) Also look on link below to see if you can identify your timer
