The image on the tv is constantly turning off, the lights on the ps3 are green and blue. The ps3 is connected with an hdmi clable. how can fix the image problem?

This is sometimes caused by what is known as the "High Definition Handshake". When your PS3 is connected via PS3 it tried to detect the optimal settings for your TV. If it cannot perform the handshake you get the symptoms that you are describing.

When the screen is going on and off, unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in to perform the handshake again. If this does not work try resetting the display settings by turning the PS3 off into standby mode (red light on). Press and hold the power button. It will beep once when you first press it and then again 5 seconds later. Release the power button when you hear the second beep.

This will reinitialize the display and hopefully sort your problem.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa

Samsung HCN4727W Rear Projection TV, green screen, audio works

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai2_bing.gif,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get more information and a DIY convergenece repair kit with instructions from the link below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

Problem #1) Convergence

Yours may have one or more of the following symptoms...

*Screen Looks 3-D
*Colors wont align
*Screen may look distorted or warped
*No Audio/Video - TV Shuts down - May also make a constant chirping sound

Problem #2 - Another common problem is dull or washed out video.

Your set may have one or more of the following symptoms....

*Dull looking picture
*White looking picture
*Halos around objects
*Red/Orange looking picture

Sony Bravia KDF-50E2010 LCD Convergence Problem

Well this is the fix for the usual Ghosting problem....

To bring up the "service" menu, put the TV in standby mode, then press in sequence :

Onscreen Display ( the little screen with the i+ in it )
5 ( channel number 5 )
Volume Up ( upper end of volume button )
Analogue ( middle top button )

The TV should switch on and when it's warmed up, you should see a screen with lots of big green lettering on it.

Press the "menu" button ( middle bottom )

Use the direction dial to move down to "LCD Drivers" and press right on the dial to enter this menu.

Move down to "S H Pos Reg R". It should be "10", change it to "11". ( Left/Right to adjust )
Move down to "S H Pos Reg G". It should be "10", change it to "11".
Move down to "SHPos Reg B". It should be "10", change it to "11".

Press the menu bottom to drop out of the menus, and the standy button to drop to standby. Switch back on, and hopefully your ghosting will be gone hope this works davy mac

Ghost images on tv

Bod convergence IC's. Try doing a reset of the TV first by pressing and holding the ACTION and POWER buttons while the set is on. A CHK screen with diagnosis will come up in about 5 seconds. Once that happens release the buttons and shut the set off and then turn it back on. If problem still is there then convergence circuit problems need to be fixed.
