Hi i have a hotpoint washer dryer bwd129 last week it started leaking so i looked i n the filter and there was money and hair bobbles ect after cleaning it out the machine will not finish its cycle it washes ok then rinses but will not swich to spin can you help jay

You where headed in the right direction-something is stuck and is burning up the belt-check appaliance pro on line for filter lid-then drill it and drive a striaght blade screw driver into it cheers Denny

this may sound silly but just had the same problem changed the pump and it works fine now, if the pump does not work it wont let the washer start

I have a similar Hotpoint model to this, that does something very similar now and again, usually when trying to set a delayed start.

The only way I have found to "fix" it is to turn the machine off for at least 5 minutes, and then try again.

a washer dryer has a different approach to cleaning fluff. It has an internal flushing system.. only do routine check on pump filter.

Please provide more details about your appliance. What brand and the age.

Just had F-12 on my Hotpoint Aquarius washing machine. Problem was due to water not draining. Power off. My machine has access plate at bottom on the back. The water drain is held onto the drum via a jubilee clip and when i took it off the drain was clogged with hair, sweet wrappers, money, hair bobbles Once cleared, put back as was - machine now running ok..

my Hotpoint dry will not dry my clothes. It will run for hours and the clothes still haven't dry just felt hot.

I've got a BWM129 which is causing me problems too (the washing is smelly at th eend of the cycle!) - How did you get the filter unit out of its housing, I turns around but doesn't seem to want to come out!

Filter blocked, disconnect hose from under sink connection and drain into bucket. Hotpoint does not want you to change filter, contact Service Engineer.
