SOURCE: Tool side has no pressure

if there is sufficient air in the tank the regulator valve is either set to low or is stuck. if its stuck ur better off to buy a new one and replace the one u have.

SOURCE: need to replace drain valve

The "welded nut" is the pipe fitting into which the drain valve or drain plug is screwed. It's usually brass and the valve or plug can be obtained through Sears or possibly and good harwarde store. Be sure to use pipe sealing compound or teflon tape on the threads when you re-install the valve or plug.

NOTE - THE AIR MUST BE DRAINED FROM THE TANK BEFORE REMOVING THE VALVE OR PLUG. ALSO, POWER SHOULD BE DISCONNECTED FROM THE COMPRESSOR!

SOURCE: replacing the pcv valve

See if it's just a rubber grommet pushed over a plastic stud. Maybe spray a bit of something on it and any others it may have - then just wiggle and pull up on the box.

Can I adjust the tank pressure on a Husky 1506 compressor. pop off keeps engageing, so I need to adjust so that compressor shut off automatically

Before you change any parts, check that the pop valve is not faulty. Look closely at the pop valve to read set release pressure. If the valve is releasing before marked reading, replace valve instead to one slightly higher. The pressure may or may not be adjustable at the switch (need to replace the switch) depending on switch installed at the factory (parts list does not give enough information). If your switch has a remove-abel cap with adjustment screws/nuts, post again with model number of switch for info on adjustment. Good luck

How dose the unloader work on a T30 compresser ? T30 compresser has small air leak sound comming from intake ? Is there a flow chart of how ther air is compressed T30 ?

There is no unloader on a 2340N5 compressor. However there is a pressure switch that cuts the motor on an off. Located inside of the pressure switch is an air bleeder. When the pressure switch is opened the motor is shut off. A small lever in the pressure switch pushes down on the bleeder valve which lets the air on the compressor head to be released. This allows the the compressor to start up freely. There should be some air heard bleeding off at the pressure switch. If air continues to bleed off all the time the tank check valve is leaking.

If air is leaking back thru the compressor an air leak sound coming from around the air filter (intake) you have a valve leaking allowing trapped pressure to escape thru the air filter (Intake).

I would search the web for a flow chart. I have not seen one.

Oil goes towards the air cleaner in my water pressure. what is wrong?

It is normal for a small amount of oil (usually a smokey vapor) to pass from the crankcase breather into the air filter. However, if your having an excessive amount of oil then the the stem seals on the valves have hardened and it is allowing oil to pass along the valve stem through the valve guide through the breather and into the air filter. The remedy is to replace the stem seals under the valve springs inside the cylinder head.

One other thing that will do it is if someone overfilled the engine crankcase with oil. This will cause massive amounts of oil to be pumped into the air filter.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I was wandering if you might now why my air filter keeps gettin oil soaked

One of the first concerns is the health of the engine. Do we have a tired old engine allowing the blow-by gases to pressurize the crankcase? If so, the pressure would force the oil up the PCV breather hose and contaminate the PCV breather filter and air filter.

The Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) System is one of the oldest and most neglected emission control systems. The valve is a calibrated vacuum leak controlled by a plunger and spring. Contaminates or changes in spring tension can directly affect the flow of the valve, which could result in oil accumulating in the air cleaner or an imbalance in the fuel mixture. Remember: For each gallon of fuel consumed by an internal combustion engine, one gallon of water vapor is created through condensation. Much of this condensation is formed in the crankcase. The PCV system is designed to control this condensation and remove gases which accumulate from the combustion process and collect in the crankcase, in addition to protecting the environment.

Conditions other than a defective or restricted PCV valve can lead to an accumulation of oil in
the air cleaner, sludge deposits, poor performance, or excessive oil consumption.
Check the following:
• The PCV and fresh air hoses are clear and free of obstruction
• The proper valve is selected for the application
• The valve is functioning properly
• The valve fits tightly in its rubber grommet
• Any O-rings or hoses are tightly secured to their mounting

Hi I have a Central Pneumatic model 94667 air compressor that was working fine, now it will not shut off when it gets to the usual shut off pressure. thanks. George.

make sure it is actually achieving full shutoff pressure. I had the same compressor and had a valve crack and the compressor would run nonstop but never got above about 40 psi.

How do make air compressor shut off at your desired air pressure

You compressor has a pilot valve that controls the tank pressure and the speed of the engine. Locate the brass pilot valve, (It has a flip lever that unloads the compressor) you will notice that it has two locking nuts that allow for adjustment when loosened. Loosen the small lock nut and turn the upper-most part of the pilot valve out to reduce pressure, in to increase pressure. Hope this helps, enjoy.
