best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

No beeps but lights A B are orange

....and lights C, D are green, and your computer fails to boot up ? (you do not say) (on Dell PCs, which I don't have, the LEDs are usually described as yellow and green. There are four of them on rear of the PC ?).
First go to this webpage:
Product Support
if you are able run the Dell Diagnostics, or if not the ePSA.
Also read this manual - the only one available specifically for Dimension 4100 -
http://downloads.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_dimension_desktops/dimension-4100_Service%20Manual_en-us.pdf especially the section on safety. If you have to open the case remember to properly earth yourself.
To the answer to your question, if the 4600 model has the same codes as the 4100 see the service manual for the Dimension 4600 (or get the corresponding manual for the 4100 by contacting Dell support) look here
http://downloads.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_dimension_desktops/dimension-4600_service%20manual_en-us.pdf
in the Advanced troubleshooting section. It tells you the problem may be with your memory module(s) and it suggests what to try. I favour checking to see if you get correct errors with no memory inserted then with each module in each slot until all 4 combinations have been exhausted. This likely to tell you what is wrong. You may have to replace a memory module, or work with only one module or replace the motherboard.

Can you assist me with Finding ethernet port on dell demension 4100

It should be at the back of the system. Look for RJ-45 jack. If its not there then your computer does not have one.

I have a dimension 4100, and only have 512 in ram because it only has 2 slots, is there any way to use a bigger stick to increase ram?

Yes, if only one slot is being used you can install another 512 MB of ram which will give you 1024 MB or 1GB. If both slots have 256 MB in each one then you will need to just buy a 1GB strip of Ram. Go to the link I am posting and let them scan your computer. They will tell you exactly what you can install and the price. This is a site I use all the time and it is reputable and safe with good prices. This will require a download of the scanning tool which is safe. Allow the download. http://www.crucial.com/

Setting it up

Hi

Dell Dimension 4100 uses an add-in AGP Video card.

The Video Port is labeled "5" in the illustration below;

Problems with Dell Dimension 4100 PC Desktop

maybe your dell dimension needs an audio driver. you can find drivers here by inputing the model or the service tag number. service tag found at the back of your PC.

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&~ck=mn&SvcTag=&SysID=DJ_DIGITAL_MP

Just follow instruction if your were in the site.

if this not solve;
try another audio card.

Case upgrade for Dell Dimension 4100

The easiest thing to do it is look at your motherboard and make a note of the manufacturer and model/version number, as Dell don't make their own boards. Go to the manufacturers web site and search for the manual probably in PDF format and download it and look for the relevent power button connections.
