Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

How do I upload pictures I have just taken and then get them on Facebook? Also is there a web site i can go to get a full user manual so i can figure out all the camera does and how??

First, if you want to find a user manual for your phone you should do a google or bing search for: camera model user manual (replace camera model with yours).

Most cameras do not require software to copy the picture off of them and onto your computer. You would plug a USB cable into the camera and into your computer.
After plugging in the camera your computer should detect it and install it; this could take up to 2 or 3 minutes and you'll see a notification by your clock while it works.
After the camera finishes installing you can go into your control panel and find an icon that says "Scanners and cameras" (if you have XP), or if you have Vista/Win7 you can follow this video: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-import-pictures-from-a-digital-camera-into-windows-7.html
If you don't want to use an import wizard you can go to your Computer or My Computer icon after plugging in the camera and copy the pictures directly from the camera onto your PC/Laptop.
Once you have the pictures on your computer getting them on Facebook is easy. After logging into Facebook, right above your Wall Status you would click "Photo" and then it will walk you through the rest of the process of creating an album and uploading your photos.

I'm unable to load pictures onto my computer even if I take the memory card out and put it into a card-reader. The camera recognizes that there is the camera hooked up, since it charges it, but an icon...

When you plug-in the camera, the missing icon may be in the [My Computer] list.
Open [My Computer]
The memory card in the camera may be listed as
"Removeable Drive" - Probably "Drive E:"

Cant' install onto computer

You need the drivers and some other software which enable you to make changes to the pictures. You could go to this link to download the drivers and install it.
http://www.driversdown.com/drivers/24122.shtml
after you install the drivers, connect your Argus. after the drivers are installed double click your computer icon. It will display your hard drive (c:) and anything else conected to your computer. Find Argus and double click on it. Now you can download or delete pictures stored in your Argus DC-3185.

How to download files onto USB flash memory

Just plug the memory stick into your USB port on the computer. Windows has the drivers already installed. A taskbar icon will appeer us a connected USB device, exacly as a digital camera would. You will find the stick in My Computer as a removalble drive. Click on the right side mouse button over the flash drive icon and click properties to see the stick memory size, ect.... Use it as you would any other removable dirve, ie: 3.5" floppy disk, CD Read/Write. I would go to the TOOLS button for the drive and click FORMAT for you first use of the stick to test its memory. After that you can just copy, save, drag and drop files like always....

Plug the camera to the computer. Go to where the images are and- go to Edit. Click on select all. Click on Copy. Now go find the Camera Icon- My Computer an extra Icon should have come up like a drive Click on open -right click in the folder - right click select paste. A word of warning It is possible that having got the images to the card - the camera will not recognize them This is because- depending on the software loaded the imaged will have been altered from EXIF[Camera type image] to JPEG[Computer type image] If this is so delete the images on the card and go online to www.convar.com and download PC-Inspector. Install the program on the computer Run it. Select the Camera with card in it and click on recover. Or simply click on camera and click on recover without back loading- except simply to prove a point.

Camera won't install on computer

If it turns off the pc then the camera driver is corrupt, try re installing and using a different usb port, as WIN ME was never a good operating system when it came to drivers and .ddl files. If still no luck with install try a windows 2000 driver. Then your next obstacle is getting your cam to work with Skype.
