I would listen to the tower boot. Do you hear the fans start? Do they continue running? If they start abruptly and then cut out, it might indicate an issue with the motherboard or the power supply. If they continue running, it might be an issue with the video and audio components. I'll need more info before I can provide a more definitive answer, unfortunately.

Screen goes black but sound is good.

This sounds like the inverter which powers the display fluorescent has or is failed/failing. If you take a torch to the blacked out display can you see the image faintly? If so the unit needs repairing.

Black screen but i do have sound

HelloCheck the backlight inverter board. If it has damged, most common fault to LCD TVs, there will be no backlight to the LCD screen, and will look black. Your tV has sound output without picture. This means that all other boards ar functioning well. Check the backlight inverter section and CCFL tubes used in backlight assembly. OK.
