Question about Philips 60PP9202 60" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

1 Answer

Phiips model #60PP9202 -Green cast

I bought this TV used. The owner said the TV quit and took it in to get repaired and told me if I paid the repair cost I could have it. So I did, The TV repairman said it had a short and fixed it. I brought it home and turned it on and the Whites and blacks have a strong green look. I asked the old owner of the TV to come look at it and she said it did not look like that when she used it. Any ideas?

Your CRTs need the coolant changed. Its a common condition in phillips models. You can get the coolant repair kit which contains all the coolant and the instructional cD that does step by step instruction with pictures of the entire replacement procedure

Pt-52lcx65 52 in.

call panasonic customer a claim....problem is most likely that the eprom needs to be reflashed.....i contacted them several weeks ago, told them my problem which was 5 baseball sized colored spots, 1 red, 2 blue and 2 green. they had me perform a couple of tests using a dvd. when i reported the results they set up a service call with a local authorized repair shop. results were amazing. reflashing the eprom took about 4-6 minutes. in addition my brilliant color returned to the set as well as another problem of neon images going away. this was paid for by panasonic. my set was 2 years over warranty. panasonic has issued a service bulletin on this and are backing up these units.
hope this helps, i am quite satisfied with what was done.

Phiips 32pt5441/37 problem

Hello tvpassword,
It sounds like a power supply problem, or at least a startup issue. This might be caused by any number of problems, but I would suspect that it, the problem that is, is in the Horizontal section of your set. If this is the case I would suggest that you get this TV repaired at a qualified TV repair shop, due to the section of the TV that is involved, dangerously high voltages are present and could cause bodily harm if a mistake is made.
If you are going to attempt to do this yourself I would advise that you know electronics before attempting this, if you do not, my first statement stands.
I hope this helps,
