Top loading printers often get items falling into the paper feeder. Check for blockages and try using a vacuum cleaner hose with a narrow attachment to clean any rubish out.

RX620 Paper Feed Fix

You can fix this problem by looking down into the paper feed area and you'll see a gray rubber wheel which is used to pull the paper through. I put my hand into a sock and soaked the end of the sock in rubbing alcohol so my middle finger could both rotate the rubber wheel and wipe off the fine, almost powdery paper residue.

The wheel just needs to be cleaned so the rubber grips and pulls one sheet at time instead of 3 or 4 and then jamming.

I use matte finish paper often so the wheel gets dusted and needs cleaning every 100 sheets or less.

Epson support never offered this advise. They told me to buy Epson paper and see if it works better. By the way, this is the 3rd refurbished printer as they all had the same problem until I figured this out.

How to install adding machine tape to a radioshack EC-3033

Here is the link to the instruction book for that calculator. It describes how to install the paper into the machine. The only thing I could recommend different is to fold the lead edge of the paper to a 45 degree angle /| instead of the straight edge the book is recommending. Sometimes there is a small blockage in the feed path and the angled fold will get the lead edge passed it enough for the feed rollers to catch the paper. The blockage usually feeds out with when the edge of the paper clears the rollers. I would try it by the book first then try the folded edge. The only other option would be a middle fold /\ in case the blockage is on the edge you folded from in the first attempt

My samsung printer does not feed the paper thru the printer

This is a problem caused by design flaw. There is a sensor inside, which is exposed to high temperature all the time the printer is printing. This part gets broken after a year if you do not print too often and in about a month if you print dozens of pages daily. There is no simple solution to this problem. The part has to be replaced by a trained technician, because it is hidden inside and the technician must disassemble the printer unit to get there. EPSON DX5000 will not feed paper. It goes in about 1 inch then stops. No jam warning until it appears to finish printing. When I renmove the paper there appears to be a small dent in the leading edge of...

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Paper jam indicator shows after jam is removed

power cycle the printer, meaning pls. turn off the printer, then wait for about 10mins. turn it back on. while it is off check for obstruction or paper jam inside the printer, if none, turn it back on
if the issue persist, that means the printer is already broken

Paper jam, with no paper jam!

Hi,

try to re open again your machine and look very carefully inside remember even how small the paper it will still cause for a paper jam.

if not try to send it to a service technician to give a look to the printer head and rollers.

thanks,

Paper feeds crooked

Sounds like a blocked paper path, paperclips , staples , bits of paper etc can drop into the sheet feeder entry and get stuck in the paper rollers.Look and see if you can see anything in there, if not try feeding a piece of thin card back through the printer from the front (ie in reverse of the normal paper travel) be careful and you may be lucky and drive out the obstruction, if not you will need to strip it down to investigate further

Epson Stylus 580rx won't identify vellum paper

Ran into the same problem. The problem is that the printer's paper sensor sees through the vellum and therefore doesn't think any paper moved into the print position. To use vellum, fold up 1/4" edge on a standard peice of print paper and place the leading edge of the vellum under the flap. Place the paper and vellum into the printer and print. The printer will pull in the paper and the vellum together. Make the paper fold tight and straight to prevent jamming. You will need to feed one sheet at a time. Also the Epson inks take a long time to dry on vellum. I let mine dry overnight.
