If it was under the hood - you could have a short somewhere that is causing this or it's your relay. If you're battery checks out good - but nothing take a look for this box under the hood. It shouldn't be hard to find. If you follow the main wiring harness coming from the firewall back towards the front of the car you'll see it. Usually positioned middle above one of the fenders to the back towards the passenger compartment is where they usually put them. This junction is the relay center. It controls the fuel pump, turn signals, wipers, starter relay, you name it. You'll have a smaller fuse panel inside the passenger compartment - this is the main hub before that one. If you take a look at it - try to see if the box is burnt or the relays are burnt. You'll definitely be able to see. If you give the immediate area of that box a good smell and it's burnt - you can't miss it.

Motor over revving

Firts thing I would look at is the hub in the propeller. It may be spun. Check that by removing it and looking at the back side for for burnt rubber or smell of burnt rubber. You can also (with the engine off and spark plug wires removed\ignition disabled) put the engine in forward gear and try and turn the prop counter clockwise. If the prop turns I would suspect the hub will need replaced. any prop rebuilding company can do this for around 50.00 or less. If the prop doesnt turn, You may need to loook into the lower unit internally and inspect the clutch\gears, etc.. Those can be suspect and usually due to shift cable issues, water intrusion, lack of oil changes etc.. Hope this helps.. Let me know if you need more assistance.

Rear wheel seal is leaking. They call for 2 different seals, one has the right OD but the wrong ID. Other has the right ID but wrong OD. 6.5 diesel Is this a special rearend.

IF you have a fully floating hub ( one where you remove the axle to get to the hub nut to remove the hub) there will be only one seal inside the hub If you have a semi floating axle( where you have to remove the brake gear and backing plate to remove the axle then the seal is inside the axle housing inside the bearing. Best remove the hub /axle and take the seal to a bearing supply outlet and they will match the seal to your sample.

Loose hardware

There are not many parts in a hard drive.
  • Data platters (secured with 5 or 6 screws)
  • logic board (doesn't move)
  • Actuator arm moves rapidly to read data.

Some whining or crunching sound is normal. I'd say either the logic board is burnt out, the reader head crashed or the data platters have lots of bad sectors. If it isn't working or detected your best bet is to replace it.

What if a game that has been resurfaced and cleaned does not get reconized in the console?

There could be a few reasons for this:

A) You are using something which has been burnt to DVD. Hence it's in a format not recognized by your 360.

B) There is a crack in the DVD. If there is a crack on your DVD, it's shot. No amount of cleaning in the world will make it recognizable to your 360.
C) The Lens inside the 360 needs to be cleaned. Instructions for cleaning the Lens can be found here:

Only two of the bubs seem to be working (#5 and 6).

well, io-gear is at it again I see. They have always had a poor quality record, and I see that it has got you now as well.

What has happened is that part of the the hub's circuits have burnt out. It might be something as simple as a resistor, or it could be an i.c. logic chip. For the cost, I would just get a new one. they only run about 20-30 bucks for a good one, and they come with a warranty
