Wish to use skype but i can hear all but no one can hear me a message pops out "check the computers sound card"

you could try this
go to control panel
sound/audio
open the box and check that the audio is not muted or disabled

if you h ave no joy with it you go here

go to support/downloads
search for your make model and operating system of your laptop
then scroll down to find a audio/modem driver possibly a ( conexant ) modem driver

It sounds like your microphone settings may be incorrect. Make sure if your computer has an internal microphone that the settings are set to use the correct device. You can check in the Skype preferences.

If you have an external microphone (one you must plug in to the computer) try testing it on another computer to make sure it has not malfunctioned.

check if the one you are calling has working mic. if yes, try reinstalling skype maybe there is a problem with the program. in skype setup your audio settings mic and sound device. try echo and sound test service

People can hear me but I can't hear them


Does your sound card work? Did you run the sound test in SKYPE? In the options section, click on Sound Devices and select Make a Test sound. If that works, click on Make a test call.

My friends can see &HEAR me BUT I CANNOT hear them. what can i do?


If you are sure that your mic is working properly, then take a look at this illustrated picture:

On the skype menu, click "Call" and select "Audio Settings", this window will open up, the first slider (option) is for Microphone.. when you speak on the Mic, the indicator will show the status. Simply move the first slider to the extreme right and save the settings.
If this doesn't seem to work, then you need to check your computer sound settings. Open the sound settings and make sure that Microphone is selected as the default recording device, and is not muted.

Since you didn't mention the details about your computer, I can't make this specific. If you need further help, let me know with more details like the Operating System installed on your computer, the sound card...etc...

When i skype with my granddaughter, i can hear her, but she cant hear me


It must be with your mic or with your computer's sound settings or with your skype sound settings. First check your Microphone, you can record something using the Windows (if your o.s. is windows xp or vista, or etc..etc..) built-in Sound Recorder.

Open your computer's sound settings and make sure it's default recording device is Microphone and the volume is turned up.

Open the skype, click "Tools", then "Options" and again click" "Audio Settings" and check the mic volume, if possible uncheck the "Automatically adjust the microphone settings" and turn the slider to the right. Save the changes you've made and try again.

check the sound controls on your computer if you are using the sound card. if yes, please check if you have the mic connected to the correct slot on the computer. it should be on your sound card. use skypes's volume control to check as well.

I would check your skype setup if you can talk to others but not hear them it is a setup problem either in your computer sound setup or skype
