SOURCE: Monitor blacking out intermittently

Monitor going black after a few seconds can be causd by a faulty power supply or inverter. Some monitors have both as one unit.
Sometimes it is basic failed capacitors, After that then I would look at transistors.
The average monitor from 17 to 20 and sometimes the 22s have usually 4 bulbs in them. One bad bulb will also cause the inverter to not fire up.
Bad bulbs usually show pinkish tint, or flickering or are dark at center top or bottom of the display.

first problem could be the hdmi cable you are using is loose or broken.second, the display mode you selected was wrong, try to go to desktop and right click and choose nvdia control panel and choose the nview display mode to use, select the only use one display(single)and apply.

Why does it switch on and off intermittently?

Check the power supply circuit for bad capacitors, you can tell which are bad by their bulging tops.

Samsung gh19ps flat screen won't turn on but the green power light comes on

If you have a power light then there is a couple easy things to check. Make sure the input on the tv is properly selected to match the input you have the cables in. The second would be verifying that your cables are good.

It seems like im having some issue with my syncmaster2493 monitor. it will black out and once i wiggle the power cord it will come back on. any help will be apprecaited

Hello,

Your power supply board is failing and when you wiggle the cord it is turning it on and off until it finally starts up. There are parts called capacitors that start failing and it will cause intermittent power issues such as slow to show picture, flashing power button, wavy or flashing picture. The board can be repaired and the monitor will be as good as new. Here is a picture of the power supply with the parts circled that need to be replaced.

How do you hang a samsung gh19ps monitor upside down?

Hi there!

I'm not sure why you'd want to hang the monitor upside down, but your best bet would be to purchase a wallmount, attach the monitor upside down and mount the fixture right-side up. Click HERE to see an example of a wallmount Amazon.com sells that will work.

Hope that helps!

Your samsung monitor has a bad power mosfet connected to your backlight driver. Or if not you have a bad backlight or bad capacitor's. This problem is normal to samsung syncmaster monitor.

Funny monitor problem

If I were you I would invest in a new video display card. Sounds your card is intermittant, because the chances of a tube type display and a TFT display having the same problem is slim to none. LOL Good Luck Please dont forget to rate this thread
