Question about Computers & Internet
Well, genius; you need to create a question in a category that isn't generic. Pick one for your laptop model, and ask how to go from there. In fact, if there's a sales/help number from your laptop's maker, call it and ask them if they have a WiFi 802.11g option you can just plug in to your particular model once you open it up to where you can slot it. You'd have to buy that WiFi adapter option for your laptop, of course (though not necessarily from them.)
You have choices if they don't have a ready-built add-in too, of course. Just go shopping for 802.11g adapters in your choice of USB, PCMCIA or any other adapter you have open for use on that laptop; you can of course get portable powered USB hubs or USB sockets adapted to PCMCIA if you're stuck for open ports.
