Question about Breadman TR2200C Ultimate Bread Maker

Loaves are smaller; loaf pan does not seem to stay in place but has jumped off; I have lifted brackets at side of pan and it has held pan in place but now loaves are not rising as they used to and bm. makes a noise; I LOVE MY BREADMAN and hope it can be fixed. I make sure the pan is in place and connected.

Reach in with your fingers and bend the two little clips out a little until they grip your pan snugly. Start with 1/4 " and try that. If it doesn't feel snug go another 1/4 inch.... and so on....

How many pounds is xl bread


an xl loaf would be determined by the amount of flour you use. a standard 2lb large loaf is made usingc 560gms (19.7ozs)flour. i make my loaves using 850gms (30ozs) flour. the end result is an xxl loaf. (i don't bake it in the bread pan. i have an extra large loaf tin. one thing to note, is when using more flour all the other ingrediants apart from the yeast need to be increased too . good luck.

You can make 1.5 lb. loaves for sure. If your pan is the vertical type with one paddle then you can also make the smaller 1 pound loaves.

Plz find below the recipe for White Bread:

Ingredients:
  • 6 to 7 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 2 packages quick acting or active dry yeast
  • 2 1/4 cups scalded milk cooled to about 120°
Preparation: Mix 3 1/2 cups of flour with sugar, salt, shortening and yeast in a large mixing bowl. Add very warm milk; beat for about 1 minute. Stir in enough of the remaining flour, a cup or so at a time, until dough is easy to handle. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead, adding more flour as necessary to keep it from sticking, until smooth and elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes. Place dough in a large buttered mixing bowl. Turn dough over so greased side is up. Cover with a clean dish towel and let rise in a warm place, out of drafts, for about 1 hour, or until doubled. When dough is touched, an indentation will remain. Punch dough down and divide into two equal portions. Flatten each half with hands or rolling pins into a rectangle about 18x10 inches. Starting at 10-inch edge, roll dough tightly; pinch long seam together. With sides of hands, press each end of loaf; fold ends under loaf. Place loaves, seam side down, in loaf pans (approximately 9 x 5 x 3-inch). Brush each loaf lightly with butter. Cover loosely with clean dish towels and let rise until double, about 35 to 50 minutes. Preheat oven to 425°. Bake loaves on a low rack, so tops of pans are at the center of the oven. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Bread will sound hollow when lightly tapped. Makes 2 loaves of white bread.

I have been using my Breadman Machine for 6 months. Lately, the last 3 loaves come out 1/2 the size and are too doughly. I am using the French Bread recipe in the book.


If you are using dried yeast it may have gone stale, it has a short life once opened. Try buying the individual sachets rather than a large packet. I make about 4 loaves from each sachet but find the last loaf is still a little bit smaller than the first one.

Hi, those function as little spring clips to hold your pan in. There is no twisting of the pan with your new machine. Just pull straight up with a little "pop" (use both hands and just pop up on the handle) and your pan will pop out. When you bake your first loaf just push the pan straight down until the pan clicks back into place under the little clips and you are ready to bake!

The machine does not mix the bread and the loaves are not rounded. There is a lot of extra mix left on the sides of the loaf. I would like to find a place to get it repaired.


After the first five minutes, when the paddle starts into constant rotation, take a rubber spatula and peel the unmixed dough off the sides of the pan so that it will mix in with the dough ball as it's spinning. That was the solution for me.

Kneading problem - lop-sided loaves


it is very imporant that you put the ingredients in the right order (water on the bottom, flour floating on top o it, yeast on the flour not touching the wwater). Also the amount of water is crucial.
The bread becomes evenly distributed during rise.
Rise problems might be due to improper kneading which in turn might be due to the pan jumping. Check that the pan is not jumping during kneading.

I don't have this model breadmaker, but if your loafs are raising too high, you should either reduce the amount of sugar or the amount of yeast you put in. The yeast makes the gas that makes the bread rise. If the culture has less food (less sugar) or if the culture is smaller it start with (less yeast) than you'll get smaller loafs. Try decreasing your sugar by a tablespoon or cutting the yeast by 1/2 teaspoon. You might need to try several reductions. If you're using another source of sugar, like molasses, just cut it by the same tablespoon amount.

Bread pan will not seat properly in the machine


The breadpan has warped from the heat of the maker (the only way to fix it is to get a new pan) Call the company for a FREE replacment! have a good new year

I have a problem with uneven shaped loaves


The paddles fit two ways, so what you must do is have them facing opposite ways, then they fight with each other and elongate the loaf
