Gee, you should put this question in a category about GE Monitors, preferably your exact model in the category; then you can see how things with it were solved before. Or refrigerators, since you put that word in there too. Don't turn it on again until you unplug it and go through to see what's burnt out so far!

Connect 2nd monitor to small form factor dc5800

You have 2 options to connect an additional monitor to your desktop:

1. install a low profile video card that has multiple video outputs
2. purchase a USB to VGA/DVI device to allow a 2nd monitor to be connected.

Your model PC does not have a DisplayPort on it (newer PC's have this and this provides another monitor connection). So you will need to add hardware to the PC so you can connect the 2nd monitor.

Because you have the "Small Form Factor" model, standard height video cards will not fit in it. You would need to get the shorter model video card - typically labeled "low profile".

The other option is to purchase a USB to VGA or USB to DVI adapter that would allow you to connect the second monitor to your PC. The only thing to watch for when getting this type of adapter is to make sure your current Operating System is supported by the adapter. Many adapters that work on Windows XP will not work with Windows 7 or 8.

Hello have a problem with tv Model is: lg

The above link goes to lg's website describing the red flashing light where the power switch is, and

another switch down below which can turn that light off.

Try switching that other switch below off so the light turns off. Then, switch it back on.

If that doesn't work, then service should be scheduled for this discontinued model.

Hope this helps on your lg tv.

I can't get video on my monitor on a A6300F system I try my monitor on a different computer and it works. I believe is the card. But it is in the mainboard. can I install a video card and that would solve...

Hello, fduque2001.

The usual first-hand cause of a monitor not having any form of visual could be bam memory RAM sticks inside the DIMM memory outputs inside on your motherboard, or as you said.. It could possibly be the motherboard itself, what I'd recommend you to do is just switch out the RAM in the computer with help from a someone you know and trust can help you with the best answers.

Also, make sure that the pins on the A6300F for the video adapter are not bent or broken. There are 15-16 pins on it, be sure that all are there and are not bent out of place.

Hope it helps.

Monitor not on but menu light are blinking

Hi there, i assume you switch on the monitor but there's no display. Is the monitor working before this? If what i assume is right, you should check the connection between the monitor and the cpu. If that doesn't solve the problem, then you should check the vga card. Maybe the pci slot/vga port is damage. If that the problem, you should change another display card.

Monitor flicks off

If you have switched monitors and the problem persists, I would first look at your cabling, if you did not use the same cable on both monitors then the drivers would be suspect. Go to your video cards site and update the drivers after checking all your cables and connections, also check that the video card is properly seated on the motherboard (if its not integrated onto the motherboard). An easy way to check the monitors, is to plug them into another computer (EG: laptop) and they should have the same problem there, i doubt they will from the symptoms you are having. also try bypassing the UPS and plug the monitor straight into an extension cord or wall.
Remeber, try this in steps, not all at once, so you can tell what works..

Hope this Helps!

Monitor works with one workstation but not another

OK; more basic troubleshooting is needed.

1] monitor doesn't work a] try on different cpu - check b] return with monitor from other cpu - ?

From the above I will try to spell out my steps.

1] notice monitor stops working
2] since I have another cpu close by - swap [it is important to also back swap {working monitor from other cpu]
analyze result.

I suspect that the video output somehow changed and the current display can't 'catch' what the video card is throwing.

does the display show the POST? is so, then you can start in safe mode and then set it to a low resolution.
