Gee, you should put this question in a category about GE Monitors, preferably your exact model in the category; then you can see how things with it were solved before. Or refrigerators, since you put that word in there too. Don't turn it on again until you unplug it and go through to see what's burnt out so far!

This sounds like the compressor is not running. Causes for this happening on your model can be caused by defective start relay, run capacitor, defective fan motor and defective motherboard. The part number for the motherboard is WR55X10942

The repair is rather complex for most people on your model and I will be glad to go through how to do this if you like. Let me know and I will walk you through the repair, Thanks

hello inira. DR-1 and DR-3 are two separate but similar toshiba model types.
Your machine must offer both in that one machine. Your best bet is to replace the remote with a new original remote control.

here is a link where you can purchase one

Hello, I have a GE gts18fbrerww refrigerator for about 6 years. Yesterday I started to hear a noise coming out from the freezer. Is the evaporator fan causing the problem? could this be replaced if I...

Good day,
Yes. The motor is the only moving part in the freezer compartment.
Changing it is pretty much a nuts and bolts type repair.
I suggest you also buy a new blade when purchasing the motor.

In rare occasions ice can form around the fan blade causing the problem, so I would remove the rear panel and check for that issue before you buy the motor.

Cooling problem with a ge top freezer refrigerator

I have one that did the same. The coil in the back of the freezer was frosting up because it wasn't defrosting like it was supposed to. I noticed that the thermostat looked damaged so I ordered a new one from sears parts direct which by the way will show a diagram of the model you have. I just installed it last night so I will post how it comes out. This morning the freezer has a burnt smell but I am hoping its from the defrost not working for a while!

Water button not work

You can check the site again on how I fixed the same problem. GE also has a recall on many refg. with this same problem. Probly a frozen line inside dr.Quickest way to isolate is to disconnect line at were it enters bottom of dr. and press dispenser tab. If you have water to this point it is about 99% sure a freeze in dr. No water means probly selenoid or the switch or something else. Ice and water line do not feed off same line , ice will dispense even if water does not.
