If the engine is running, but the mower is not moving generally you have a problem such as:

1) the main drive belt between the engine and transmission has failed

2) the main drive belt is good, but the hydrostatic transmission has failed.

first issue can be resolved by about anyone with a good selection of tools, a twelve pack, and a couple warm sunny hours. second issue means you are going to get a new mower unless you have an expensive mower and it is worth spending 1500 dollars to get a new transmission for it.

Zero turn will not move forward reverse or turn

These units use Hydraulic pumps for motivation. If the unit stopped all at one time, I suspect a drive belt came off.
For both pumps to fail at the same time would be very odd. Check the v-belt driving the wheel pumps.

Sounds like you have the belt running in the opposite direction. You need to Change the way the belt is routed around the pulleys

My Weedeater riding lawn mower will not move in forward or reverse after it has started

Check your drive belt that it has not slipped off.. also check your drive lever on the right side (speeds, neutral, and reverse). The mower uses this lever to angle the motor against the belt to move it..

It is most likely the belt or the angle misaligned if the engine is turning...

Mower starts and runs but won't move forward or reverse and brakes don't work.

If your transmission is automatic on the drive axle, look for a small lever inside the frame and below the seat. It can be hard to find the first time. This lever disengages the drive inside the auto gearbox so the mower can be pushed by hand. If the lever is not not moved, pushing the mower also tries to turn over the engine making it impossible to move. With the lever moved accidentally the drive is disengaged and the mower won't move in either direction. The lever operates a flexible cable that comes out from the auto transmission.

Moves forward fine, but creeps when put in reverse. when on incline doesn't wasnt to go backwards at all on incline. Havent tried to fix. the linkage is ok, it has hydrolic fluid no leakage noted any...

Try adjusting the main drive belt from engine to transmission. Sometimes the tension is good enough to go forward, but when shifted into reverse the tension on the belt slackens.
I hope this will give you a direction to look in.

Hi, remove the battery and battery support tray and clean all debris from around the hydrostatic drive, fan and cooling fins. Your problem is caused by the hydrostatic drive overheating. Hope this helps, regards Phil

My riding mower stopped forward and reverse movement every once in a while..then it stopped completely. the engine is running fine and the throttle parts move when the pedal is pressed

Check the main drive belt. Without knowing your specific model and brand, its hard to be more detailed than that. Almost all riders have a main belt. When you look under your mower, there are usually two belts that come off of the drive shaft of the engine. One drives the mower deck and one drives the transmission for your mower. The way your mower "stopped forward and reverse movement every once in a while" tells me your belt developed a bad spot, then completely let go. Also, many mower companies host a website for their products. You can find your model's owners manuals, parts lists, and diagrams, to help you fix the mower yourself, which I highly recommend, if you are able. Shops in my area charge around $150.00 to $200.00 dollars to change a main belt.

Hydrostatic mower goes in reverse but not forward. Only 73 hrs on it!

On my hydrostatic there is an adjustment on the forward/back lever which can be made to run all reverse or all forward. Normal setting gives both of course. Look at that adjustment. Maybe something let go.
