yes I went into menu and tried to adjust color, tint, sharpness and even checked to see if cable was loose. It said in the book to go to menu then custom and I highlighted custom and it was suppose to bring up the tints but it didn;t do it so I am stumpted. I have even pushed re set orginal settings and still have the green faces. I just don't know what else to do I am using the remote.

Yes. I have the picture mode up now on custom it has contrast, brightness, tint, color, sharpness color temperature and advanced picture adjust, I have been adjusting these however I need to get to the screen that has the actual colors red, green and Blue, I had it wrong there is no orange. I can't get to that menu the book said to choose the custom option then a new menu would pop up with these colors it does not do that.

it seem that you got a problem on the inside, could be some parts inside the television is going down, if this the first time you encounter this, and the problem is not changing even you have resetted all the settings, it is better to check the inside if you dont have idea to do this it is better to call a service guy near you. just check and the Change the 120k resistor on the green video output module. Resistor is located parallel and in front of the video output transistor heat sink. Failure can occur with blue and red also.

The screen has a permenant green tinge which dominates all other colours. If watching football the grass insted of being bright grass colour green is more of a dull drab green

It could be the tint settings on your TV. Check your TV's settings menu for color/tint options. If you can't find it, break out the manual and look in the index for tint or color, then locate the page and it'll tell you how to get there.

Make sure the tint slider is in the middle, 0 or 50%, depending on your TV.

Best of luck.

46 toshiba plasma has red tint in back ground

If you can see the red tint with every input source and also in the On-Screen Menu, then this indicates that the Green phosphor is burning off of the screen faster than the Red and Blue. This is typical of plasma screens. Even if you dont watch a lot of golf or football, green is the most dominent color and burns out of the phosphur pits(pixels) faster than the Red and Blue. Take away green, you are left with Reddish looking screen and Pink whites. This is not repairable.
If the Menu looks nice and white, check your source cables.
Good luck

Here is something that may help from the toshiba.com website under your model number television. Q. Why are people on my screen green?
Models: 32HL17, 37HL17, 42HL17, 42HL167, 47HL167, 52HL167, 42HL167, 42LX177, 46LX177, 52LX177, 57LX177

If the problem is not the connections, try adjusting the tint on your television. A high tint setting will usually create a green
image on the screen where as a low tint will create a more red hue. In order to access your television's tint:
1. Press the “MENU” button on your remote control and use the LEFT or RIGHT arrow keys and select the
VIDEO menu.
2. Then use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to highlight PICTURE SETTINGS and press the "ENTER" button on
your remote.
3. Next use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to highlight TINT then use the LEFT or RIGHT arrow keys to adjust the
TINT. If the picture is too green the tint will need to be lowered.
4. Once you have adjusted the tint to your liking, use the DOWN arrow key to highlight DONE and press ENTER. The toshiba customer service telephone number is : 1-800-631-3811. I hope this helps you with your problem.

Red tint is gone

It sounds like the red cable on your component input is bad, one way to check this is press menu and see if the menu bars and letters are the right color. if they are then you may have a cable issue, if they are bad you may have a bad DG board in the unit. This will probably require a service technician. Hope this helps
