New Rancher 455. Ran for a few minutes then tried to tighten chain but adjuster was maxed out (completely tight clockwise). Removed cover, now can't get tension adjusting pin in hole in bar....pin sits...

Ok.. with the cover off the clutch you notice the screw and the pin that is suppose to go into the hole.. with the chain on the bar back the screw until the pin sits in the hole of the bar.. The chain should be lose you will see the chain dangle at the bottom of the bar.. put the cover back on with it lose.. hand tighten the two nuts that hold the cover on. with the bar in hand and you pulling the bar up make sure the two nuts are on tight enough so the bar does not move but dont over tighten it. tighten the screw you will notice the chain starting to move, and start to tighten up.. once the chain is in the grove of the bar grab the chain and move the chain with your hand to make sure you have not over tighten it. if the chain moves freely and is not lose ( you can also double check how tight it is by grabbing the chain below the bar and letting it go if it snaps back into the bar and doesnt hang there you are where you need to be.) tighten the two nuts up on the cover and start up the saw. Run the saw to make sure everything is all set and nothing is lose before cutting.. If the chain never get to tighten up you need a new chain. buy a new chain and follow the steps again. let me know if you have any questions

Hello
make sure that they check all of rubber materials that could be burning which is a number of things, The ac belt could be slipping and getting hot, other hoses could be burning on the exhaust, sound insulation or under coating on the bottom of the car. they need to do just a good thourough inspection, even raise the car up on the lift to make sure nothing is bent, broke, rubbing or missing. The loose hose clamp is not going to smell like burnt rubber, maybe antifreeze but not rubber simply tell them you would like these things checked out they should do that for you
Good luck
Chris

I have a 2007 mitsubishi galant and I am replacing the sway bar link but I need to know what the torque setting is and no one seems to know ??

Unless you are a body builder, just tighten it on reasonably tight. Use some locktite so it will stay on and you shoud be all right. Most of the time it's just common sense.

One of the dividers has come lose how do I retighten? Of the three dividers in the guts of the dryer one has come lose and it is almost off it's screws. How do I go about retigtening it or getting the unit...

You need to open the top to get at the business end of the screws that hold the bars--tighten all three bars. If any screws appear stripped, the bar may be cracked--remove it to check. Usually, you can insert a toothpick or matchstick into the screw hole to allow the screw to tighten fully. A drop or two of Duco cement or other glue will help keep the screws tight and not work out. Hope this helps!

Agitator doesn't move unless cap is tightened.

There is a metal piece that is inside the plastic agitator that is broken. I connects the agitator to the rod that drives it. It has an oval shaped slot inside and is ribbed on the outside. I have the same problem. Simple to replace, I just need to find the part.
