If it is an external slot ..and not under the back lid...just remove the cover ..and insert the card and pres it in ...it has a click action that locks it in ...and the same when you will want to remove it ...press it with the nail ..inside and after the click will pop out ....If the slot is internal ..see that is has a metal cover that locks in one end and if you pull it out it opens like a lid...insert the card and cover it back ..

By the way ..for the external slot ...do not force ..cause all memory cards have only one position that will allow to be inserted..usually with the contacts towards the main board of the phone ..(to the main screen )

Memory card problems

1. In case the memory card connector is a bit dirty, pull and put the card in and out of the camera several times and check again.
2. Replace the card by another one and check. The other card may be faulty.
3. If that does not help, the camera may be faulty.

I just got my Panasonic HDC-SD80 in the post. I am charging it but tried to turn it on just for a quick look. The camera turned on and I could scroll through the menus on the touch screen and stuff but...

sometimes this happens if there is a fault with the memory card. switch the camera off, take the battery and memory card out, leave it for 2 mins, put the battery in (DO NOT PUT THE MEMORY CARD BACK IN) wait for the message on screen saying no memory card detected. switch off camera, put memory card in, switch on the camera, this normally cures the blank lcd screen issue

My phone starts to to turn on but gets to the 'android' bit then fails to go any further. If I plug it on to charge it sometimes goes on a bit further then tells me I need to charge the phone

Try starting the phone after removing the memory card, if it starts well then you have format the memory card and then put it into your phone.

Best of luck!

Greetings,

I would take out the SD memory card and use it with a card reader like this one: http://bit.ly/5fruhB . You simply take out the SD memory card and put it in the card reader. Then put the usb end of the card reader into your computer and download the pictures that way.I also recommend that you download Picasa, a free photo organizer/editor for your pictures: http://bit.ly/5f6HEt This way you bypass the lousy nikon software altogether. Hope that was helpful,

MEMORY CARD

I had the same problem today with a 2 GB card. I think it may be the size of the card. When I put in an old 32 MB card it worked fine.

Bit of a long shot, but take the card out and clean the gold contacts with a pencil eraser (a hard eraser is best).

Make sure there are no bits of rubber on the contacts when you put the card back in :-)

Switch the phone off and push the cleaned card in and out a few times. Good luck.
