Question about Peg Perego John Deere Gator HPX Ride on Toy

1 Answer

Toy making loud clicking/clanking noise when driving...awful sound. Does the motor/gearbox assembly need to be replaced? Is this the correct part? I also see just gearbox parts. When purchasing these parts, do instructions for replacement come w/them?

12 volt gator makes loud winding noise from rear wheels when driving

you'll need to replace the gearboxes or motor, the easiest way to test this would be to remove the rear dumpbox and then lift up the panel above the motors this will give you access to the motors then disconnect one and see if the problem persists if not reconnect the motor adn then disconnect the other side and test again, hopefully its just one of the gearboxes

When i accelerate there is a loud clanking sound from engine i guess

Possible the faults can be related to the following:
1. check the clutch settings- if the clutch is slipping this noise can come up. release the clutch very slowly and check if the noise reduces.
2.Possible that the drive links, the drive shaft , bearing assembly is faulty.
3. Possible there is loose linkages on the brake assembly which could get into the movement of the wheel and make noise.
4. The noise can be within the engine, possible that the belt slipping, water pump bearings, alternator bearings or idler units.

Loud clicking/clanking noise on 200 Intrepid

Sounds like the motor is going out. 2.7s are bad about rod bearings going out. If you don't use the correct weight oil, and change it every 3K, they don't hold up too well.

Machine makes loud grinding noise and the drum will not spin.

Ok, your direct drive system is experiencing gear breakdown issues. the transmission(gearbox) is stripped and causing the grinding situation. The clutch is ruined as well. you may have some minor electrical motor trauma as well. i recommend disassembling the unit if possible, to inspect the direct drive and transmission/clutch assembly. you should see the drive/transmission under the drum assembly.

Check thoroughly for trauma spots. replace the direct drive assembly if damage is noticed.

There should be some kind of oil leakage around the drive assembly. inspect the motor as well.

If the motor is not smoking or humming, it should be fine. More than likely, it will be the drive and transmission assembly that will need to be replaced.

Please rate and have a great day:)

Loud clanking noise in dishwasher

Most likely the motor as food caught in the sump would not make a noise you described.

Often times, the coupling is not fitted completely, and the excess pressure is binding the motor or gearbox up

Not a guaranteed solution, but something to check

reopen the case and motor, and use a dowel and hammer to ensure the spiders are fully pressed onto the gearbox and motor shafts
