Question about LG DLE2601 Electric Dryer

1 Answer

I have a front load sensor dry drier model DLE2601W. When drying, the clothes catch on the lint trap and twist and get wrapped around the end of the lint trap closest to the hinge part of the door. As the drier spins, the clothes get knotted into a very tight ball and rip. We have had to replace a lot of ripped clothes. I tried getting a replacement lint trap, but unfortunately the new lint trap fits no better in the original and the problem persists. I can tell by looking at it that the problem corner of the lint trip does not sit flat on either the original or the replacement lint trap.

Here is where I ordered the lint filter (It is part way down the page) It looks just like my old one and seems like it should be the specific one for my model. It fits just like the original one. http://www.repairclinic.com/Shop-For-Par...

Do you think I need someone to come out on a service call if it is an issue with the lint cover?

Can you tell me what to check or do to the lint cover?

Did you ever get your dryer to work correctly, where your clothes are not catching on to the lint screen and twisting up? I have the same issue with my lg dryer dlex2801

Our dryer just had the same problem. Lint became matted under the bottom of the frame of the lint filter and it caused the frame to become elevated. It was very hard to remove this trapped lint but I removed enough for the lint filter to sit flush now.

Hi

I don't think that the part you have bought is correct one; you can buy the parts for your LG DLE2601W dryer from this link. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

If you are sure that it is the right part then it can be and issue with the lint cover

Bosch condensation dryer when on heated dry clothes come out steaming hot not dry

Sounds like something's blocking the hot damp air being removed from the drier. If you are confident enough, go through the drier vent system looking for a blockage. If not get a good DIY neighbour or appliance engineer. Silly question, is the drum turning?

Does not Dry. Appears to have low air flow.

most of the problems associated with this problem are caused by lint being in vent tube to outside and restricting the air flow. clean out vent tube, from dryer to outside. this should help. repost if need be. good-day ! if you have too. clean out bottom of drier with a vacuum. around the fan and where theres lint trapped.

I have a LG Electric Dryer DLE5932W. When I run it on any of the settings in sensor dry the dryer turns off before the clothes are dry and you have to run it multiple times to get a load dry. Then if you...

this could be operator error please hear me out...... when wash bath towels you also put in wash cloths and hand towels .... there is a sensor in dryer drum shroud in front of lint filter to metal silver strips when the clothes are tumbling they sweep across this sensor telling the dryer heat to stay on and continue to dry.... if th small wash cloth sweeps it first before the bath towel then u get the same results as your describing just like if you were waqshing colors load like cotton tshirt and blue jeans the tshirt is going to dry way faster than blue jeans so if the tshirt sweeps that sensor first the dryer going to shut off we have to sort our clothes to thickness ans same size articles just try it once i bet your clothes are dry when cycle completes

Washing machine lint trap

There is no trap per say. The lint catcher is self cleaning when the water is pumped out. It sounds like you are overloading it and the clothes are hitting the agitator. Operation should be agitation by water movement not beat by the plastic fins, run a wash cycle hot water no clothes to flush things out and try smaller loads.

Our dryer lint trap won't go down all the way and is catching our clothes -- ruining spaghettis straps, bras, etc., twisting everything and catching our clothes on the corner of the trap.

It may be backwards. But the first thing I would look for is if there is lint caught in the shute keeping it from going down all the way. If it is a newer model there is a lint screen sensor that may have come unattached and keeping the lint screen from going down all the way. Good luck.

Electric drier takes 2 to 3 cycles to dry one normal size load

Have you tried cleaning the actual inside of the drier?
When you use drier sheets the wax on the sheets melts onto your clothes and makes them soft, but the wax often gets stuck in the holes of the drier making it incapable of drying the clothes in one load. Try scrubbing the inside of your drier with some hot water.

GE top load washer w/no lint trap leaves excessive lint

Most US-sold washers made after the mid 1980s don't have lint filters. The manufacturers weasel-word around it by saying that the lint "goes down the drain", leading people to optimistically assume that there is a self-cleaning filter in there somewhere. There usually isn't and whatever lint doesn't go down the drain is filtered by your cloths (but whatever does might clog your septic system). As a result of this scam, it's much harder to hang-dry or iron-dry clothes that haven't been hand washed. And, if you think spending $2000 on a pair of matched "front-load" style machines will solve this, you might be wrong; many of those washers still have no lint filter.

My Miele T8322 Tumble dryer turns off before the clothes its fully dry even in Extra Dry mode. The vent pipe is clear. Is there any kind of adjustment or do I need to get a new sensor under warranty...

IS THE DRYER PUSHED UP AGAINST THE VENTING IN THE BACK OF THE DRYER? IT MAY BE CRIMPING THE EXHAUST MATERIAL CAUSING A RESTRICTION.

IF THAT IS O.K., DISCONNECT THE EXHAUST AND RUN A LOAD OF LAUNDRY THROUGH A NORMAL DRY CYCLE.
IF THE DRYER DRIES THAT LOAD O.K., THERE IS A RESTRICTION SOMEWHERE IN THE EXHAUST. ALSO, CHECK THE LINT TRAP. IF THERE IS A WHITE CLOUDY FILM ON THE LINT FILTER, TAKE A WIRE BRUSH AND CLEAN IT OFF. IT IS RESTRICTING THE AIR FLOW AT THE FILTER.

CHECK THE LINT FILTER HOUSING FOR A BUILD UP OF LINT. IF THERE IS, USE A CENTER CARDBOARD FROM WRAPPING PAPER ATTACHED TO THE END OF THE VACUUM HOSE. FLATTEN THE CARDBOARD TO FIT INTO THE FILTER SLOT AND CLEAN OUT THE LINT.

LG WM-3677HW dryer cycle does not dry and lasts for 3 minutes

Press "end of cycle". Plug off the wall. Code can be an indication of several issues. The most common cause is over-sudsing in the machine. Overloading the wash with too much laundry may also cause the LE error code. Lastly, a breakdown in the signal between the microprocessor and the motor may cause that error code. This can occur if there is a loose wire, see that all wires are tightened..........
And rate me pl ...........if helped.
