Question about Panasonic KX-T7736 Corded Phone (KXT7736)

1 Answer

We have 4 Panasonic KX-T7736 phones. We have 5 phone lines on these phones. Only one of them can answer all 5 lines. The others can only answer their specific line. Is there a way for all 4 phones to answer all 5 lines?

There is. If your question is really "can I do that" then it's a different answer. You need access to installer programming to assign all of the lines into the same ICD group. By default, ICD group 600 is the first ICD group and it has the ability for you to put all members (extensions) into it with either a direct or delayed ring. Putting those phones into an ICD group that's assigned will make the phones blink or ring on an incoming call.

Needless to say, any further programming is beyond the scope of a free forum as it is a dealer function.

Oops. Wrong system :-) Actually, the answer is similar, except you can program the TA series by using the maintenance console software or from the phone connected to the first jack (usually x101). Under CO programming MC 3.2 you check the boxes for ringing and delayed ringing or you can go to programs 408-410 and 411-413 to set the ringing and delay for each line.

One of your 4 books that came with a TA series system will be the Programming Guide to further assist you.

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Here's a link to this great service

Good luck!

Rings before KX-T7736 goes to voicemail

This is just the quick answer and may not be exact. System program 203 is the intercept time. It's probably set by default to 40 seconds. A ring cycle is about 6 seconds. Try adjusting that down to, say, 20 seconds and see if that works. I have your exact setup in my office, but I'm not in my office for the rest of today. I may get a chance to play with the timing on Saturday.
