Question about Nokia C3 Cell Phone
If you're on a call and you heard the screeching and then switched to loudspeaker and the screeching disappeared it sounds like a hardware issue with the phone.
If it was a network issue then the screeching would have been present in both the earpiece and the loudspeaker hmm..
Keep doing some more tests like the one above when you do hear the screeching next and take it from there.
How often do you hear this screeching? Next time you hear it try switching to the loudspeaker like you did and then switch back to the earpiece to see if the sound comes back.
If you have another phone it wouldn't hurt to switch your SIM in it for a week or so to see if it happens at all. This would undoubtedly point to a phone issue if it doesn't happen with another handset.
