Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines
Look for a broken lid switchAll the models over the years have changed the way you get into the machines but the basic concept is the same. The cabinet is removed to access and service this washer
Drain and spin is in the same direction on these washers.
It won't spin with lid open. Newer models won't spin or wash eithMy 15 year old Whirlpool - themobilian_49.gifen.
Basically the lid switch has a green ground wire and 2 hot wires.
Jump them 2 hot wires as shown here at the quick connect to look for leaks and noises AND to see if the lid switch has failed.
