Flash your bios. there is a jumper next to your cmos battery (looks like a giant watch batter) and move the black jumper over one to cover the not covered pin and athe already (middle) covered pin. also you can try and remove the cmos battery for about 2 minutes (COMPUTER OFF) and put it back on it will reset your bios back to factory settings (english). If that still resets it back to Taiwanese its under the 2nd to last tab for language. or the very first tab i cannot recall which exact bios this pc has. you can also try downloading a bios update first. from ibms website

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Click Here to Learn How to Create a System Repair Disc for Free
It turns out that Microsoft is going to let you create your own Windows 7 or Vista repair disc when Service Pack 1 comes out in a month or so. If you can't wait that long, the nice people over at Neosmart have created their own Windows 7 or Vista Repair Disc available for download. Update: it looks like the discs are no longer free.
The file is an ISO image file... if you are familiar then skip to the link, otherwise we've also got instructions on how to create a CD from the ISO file.
Burn Windows 7 or Vista Recovery Disc ISO to CD
You may already have a tool to do this such as Nero, but the best tool available for burning ISOs is ImgBurn, a freeware utility that does nothing else but burn ISO images, and it does it well.
Open up ImgBurn, and then click on the "Browse for a file" button, selecting the file you downloaded from Neosmart.

Put a blank CD into the drive, and then click the big Write button.

That's about all there is to it... you now have your very own Vista Recovery CD.
Download ImgBurn from imgburn.com
Download Windows 7 or Vista Recovery Disc from neosmart.net

Note that this download is no longer free

hope this helps

I have an IBM net vista with a blue screen memory dump thing going on i dont have os disk and i need the files from this computer imscared and dont know what to do it wont even load my desktop just keeps...

If you have important files on the drive I would suggest removing the drive from the system, placing the drive in an external inclosure (or you could hook it up direct to another desktop as a slave drive) then backup your personal documents.

After confirming that all the documents have been saved I would then format and reinstall the operating system and programs and finally copy all the old files back onto the drive.

Let me know if you have any questions or need specifics.

Need to upgrade to Intel Pentium 4 2.0/2.4 Ghz IBM Net Vista

if your looking for a new processor hop over to Newegg.com and search for it there, they have wonderful pricing (although Intel is over priced to begin with). If that doesnt work head over to the manufacter's website and contact tech support to see what you need to get to be compatible with you motherboard and RAM.

IBM Mainboard MS6188 on Net Vista IBM PC Systemes ??

Your machine is a Netvista 6280 or similar. Several models used that MSI motherboard. Go to http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-4RZ2LT

IBM's latest BIOS and all other 6280 drivers are listed.

The MS6188 motherboard uses an Intel 810 chipset, you should not have any drive size problems, at least up to 30 GB, that could not be overcome by partioning the drive.

Good luck.
