You can open it given that u know how to take it out and put it back without breaking it... and also i would say that u dont have to do it... it wont make much changes and also what will u clean inside a mouse??? there wont be much dust inside... probably u can clean the bottom part... for easy movement... and also if u open the mouse, the warranty (if u have one) will be tampered...

so all together i would suggest u not to open it.... :)

My lazer mouse is faulty i think. I plug the usb in and press the button on it and also push the rubber button under mouse then leave it in range. it should then fin my mouse and then the light on usb stick starts to flash and then all is ok. But now, it just wont work...? the light still comes on foe 10 secs or so while its searching but it just wont find the mouse anymore. I have changed batteries, etc, but it's still not working. Am i doing something wrong?

How do I open the wireless optical travelmouse #1003003275 to change the battery. We are stumped! It is model number D910P I think but is is really small Margie

Not sure who makes it as there is 4 different manufactures that have the same
model number.
But my experience is that most optical mouse like yours have the same access.
Do this Put you fingers on both sides of the wheel and press down and slide to
the rear and it shouls open.

Also some of them have a button on the rear underside of the mouse and all
you have to do is press it to release the top cover.

Hope this is of some help. Bud

There is a release button on the mouse that allows you to slide the top back of the mouse off. The button will be on the bottom and labeled "OPEN". Press this as you slide the top cover off. From there you can replace the batteries.

Replaced Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2000 doesn't work

I would have suggested opening up your old mouse and cleaning the right click button first.

Generally, wireless devices have a connect button that finds the frequencies of the devices. On the receiver press this button, then press the button on the bottom of your new mouse. the receivers lights will stop flashing once connected.

Where's the battery????

If you consider the button and wheel side to be the front -
There is a silver oval button at the back of the mouse. Press it and the top of the mouse just behind the mouse buttons will pop open.
It takes 1 AA battery with the negative side going to the front.

Replacement parts for GE wireless optical mouse

It's not economical. Replacement part plus shipping cost, would be more than buying a new mouse.

Recommend Logitech brand.
