Quantum Atlas V p/n XC18L011 18.3L trying to address drive correctly. Between the scsi and power connections there is J1. The drive label does not not refer to it. Drive came inb with one jumper...

Each SCSI device must be assigned an ID, either from 0 to 7, or from 0 to 15.

So, typically, you have 3 or 4 pairs of pins, to create the various IDs:

zero - open, open, open
one - open, open, short
two - open, short, open
three - open, short, short
four - short, open, open
five - short, open, short
six - short, short, open
seven - short, short, short

by using one or two or three jumpers.

If you only see one pair of pins, you've got some other function to enable/disable.
Assume that the "factory" setting for that jumper is the "optimal" setting, and leave it alone.
