Click for 2~3 seconds the Fn + F11 buttons on the keyboard. Maybe accidentally you hit the F8, which is Mute.

I would suggest trying to re-install the audio driver.
The driver depends on which operating system you're using (windows Xp, Windows 7, Linux etc) but if you choose at the following website it should give you a link to download the "Audio Driver".
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=3872996&lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=3872994
Download and install. Hope this helps.

No sound coming from my computer but videos play

Check the volume setting and also check that to mute box has been unticked.
Also to test the audio connect a stereo headphone to the headphone outlet on the laptop to see if you can hear sounds.
If you don't hear any sounds - return it, it will be still under warranty.

Monitor speakers stopped working

Make sure that the audio cable from the computer is in the correct audio output (small green socket) and connected into the monitor. You can test the monitor speakers with an MP3 player or a smartphone. Also check that the volume on the monitor is up.

No sound from my VR-507

My Kenwood1.gif VR-507 had been working great. I hadn't changed anything. I hadn't even moved it. It just suddenly stopped producing sound. It didn't just stop while it was on. I had turned it off and when I turned it back on, nothing. I tried running the speaker setup to see if it would output pink noise, I could hear the test sound, but I couldn't hear any audio from the TV or DVD player..

Help. :-(

Dell Dimension 2200

Some basic questions first: -Are you using the built-in sound card and are your speakers plugged into the green socket? -Did you plug your speakers into another computer to see if they work, if you didn?t how did you test them? -Have you checked the Sounds and audio devices in the control panel? Go to Start, Control Panel, and open Sounds and Audio Devices. Make sure the volume is up and the mute box IS NOT checked. If you?re using Windows XP Click on the Speaker Volume button and make sure the left and right speaker volumes are up. -What program are you trying to use to test the sound volume? Let us know if this solves your problem or if you need some more assistance.

Distorted speaker sound

It might be that you have a bad solder joint somewhere. Try shaking the speaker when playing, but be careful not to short the speaker wire connections. If it returns to normal at any point this is a dry joint somewhere.
