Just moved into s property that has a heller DWH116 and it runs for 24 hours! Has this happened to you before? I read the manual and looked up online but I dont know what's wrong with it?

http://ernie.awa.com.au/Heller---Dishwasher/default.aspx u can find the manual here for it. in my opinion it sounds like a bad timer which can be changed but if it has quite a bit of age on it, then I would consider replacing the dishwasher itself.

What is the intermatic e 1020 used for just moved into a house andits in the bathroom and makes a lot of noise.

The E1020 timer is reliable heavy-duty 24-hour on-off analog timer with replaceable trippers and manual override, rated 12 amps.
This timer replaces ordinary single-pole on-off switch.
Timer has extra white wire that connects to white neutral wires inside box to run timer mechanism, while mechanical single-pole switch does not need this wire.
I don't know what it is doing... maybe running the vent fan periodically, or turning on attic vent fan?

For same timer, with less noise, install E1100-1200 aka the KM series in-wall analog timer. Or install digital in-wall timer, or replace timer with on-off switch.

Wires were disconnected from timer and need to reconnect do not have manual

First, assume that the white wire is the common and connect that to the C terminal.
Then connect all of the other colored wires to station terminals, starting with terminal 1 until you are out of wires.
Then turn on zone one manually. If it works, note where it is on your property and turn on zone 2. Do the same until you have run all of your zones.
Lastly, move the wire connections on the terminals so that there is some order as to how the zones come on around the property.
If no zones run when you try to run zone 1, disconnect the white wire from the C terminal and try connecting the green. Try your zones again.
If none of this works, you need an electrical testing meter (multimeter) to determine which wire/wires are the common(s).

Where is the switch that needs to be turned on?

If this is not your timer, add a comment.

Also see Woods timers at following link to identify your timer:

Image shows switch is located on front of timer, above dial and to the right.
Move switch to left, to Timer ON to operate programming functions.
Move switch to right, to Outlet ON to override timer.

The pdf manual says something different, it says move switch to 'Manual'
Many Woods timers have more than 1 identifying number and pdf manuals are not always current

Initial problem was machine would not move thru cycles automatically but would manually. Replaced timer.. Now machine will not stop and the time hums all of the time regardless if the button is in or out....

id say refit the old timer, check if the element/thermostat is ok,they can"thermostop" the timer while it heats to correct temperature and then it moves on

Timer

Timers? I thought those were like temp settings to turn off when it got to a certain temp. What numbers are on yours?
