You can try an external monitor if the external monitor has the same lines then its the video chip on the mother board. But if the lines are not on the external monitor then it's the LCD on the laptop.

Your computer needs to be looked at by a computer technician as it is not POSTing or passing the Power On Self Test. As you are not able to get a picture on the TV with the aid of an HDMI cable I would say that your problem with the notebook does NOT lie with the LCD screen. It could be a loose connection between a RAM module and the mainboard.

One could remove both modules and clean the gold finger contacts of the RAM modules with tissue paper.

Take care!

LCD screen shows green shadows typically behind the cursor and eg on each alternate line when in windiws explorer page. It looks a bit like the old printer paper that had alternate white and green lines. ...

look for driver clashes or new drivers with this:

if there is none the i would say there is a loose connection in your monitor. I wouldnt reccomend taking it apart yourself however it fairly simple to fix and shouldnt cost to much to fix.

Printing is very weak and difficult to read even though I changed and put a new cartridge in the printer It is a Lexmark X215

hi,
The resolution on a monitor is 72 dots per inch. The resolution on paper is about 300 dots per inch. What looks good on a screen often looks bad in print. The picture you are printing is probably saved at a resolution which looks good on the screen but not on paper.

are you using the right quality paper and are the printing settings adjusted correctly? If your printer is set for photo quality paper and you are using plain paper or vice verse, you wont get good results.

*please clean cartridges with the automatic system.
*Tried auto alignment setting
*Try to clean nozzles of cartridges by humid (wet) fabrics.

please try all the steps for the problem to be solved.

If the paper jam occured behind the toner cartridge, did someone pull it out and leave a piece behind the toner? Look to see if there is a small piece of paper jamed in the connector of the toner / developing unit. Also look for any small piece of paper in the paper path.
