Question about Whirlpool Dishwashers
Welcome to FixYa.
The clean light flashing indicates the control has sensed a heating fault, easy enough. However this can be initiated by several different issues depending on the model number so if you could provide a complete model number ( i.e. 665------- ) I can speak directly to what could cause it with your machine.
Having said that there is one thing that is same for all of the modern Whirlpool machines, if a wire has come off the heating element this error will occur.
If you remove the lower kick plate/toe panel, inspect the wires at the heater to be sure they are fastened securely, look to the very back behind the main pump.
i.e. ( again your's may look slightly different depending on model number )
Let me know what you find with that and we can proceed further with a model number if necessary.
Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa.
