The flat prong plug is for 220 to 240 volts. Converting it to a round hole connector won't work. As they are not approved for 220 to 240 volts. It will overheat.

Can you use a power cord from a Samsung 39 inch flat screen on a Samsung 65 inch flatscreen

yes, most tv's that i know of take two types of power cords, both of which are ok to mixmatch. As long as the new tv uses a molded u ground cable (3 holes on female end) or the smaller ones (2 round holes on female end) which most do it is perfectly safe to do so. As long as the tv did not have the box attached to cord ( regulates wattage) if that is the case you need one that supplies the EXACT wattage to the tv but i have yet to run into a tv that uses a power cord like that.

How to wire a plug

In USA, Either the male or female plug connector would be wired the same. Black is hot wire and would connect to the BRASS colored round head screw ( Smallest flat prong or slot ). White is the neutral wire and would connect to the SILVER colored round head screw ( Largest flat prong or slot ). Green is the ground wire and would connect to the GREEN screw ( ONLY HEX shaped screw ). 1) FOR YOUR LIFE SAFETY, ALWAYS USE 3-WIIRE PLUGS WHEN REPAIRING 3-WIRE EXTENSION CORDS! 2) Check the male plug connector. It should have two flat and one rounded prong. The rounded prong is the ground wire connection. If the ground prong is missing, replace the plug. 3) Inspect the outer cover for damage. 4) Do not use cords with damaged outer covers. Taping over the damage is not an adequate repair, for safety, replace the cord.

Will power cord for ld3255vx work for ld4655vx wide screen tv?

Dear Cheryl,
The power cords are pretty standard from all theses TVs.

Please remember that these power cords have 3 pins (male side), being 2 flats and 1 round that connects to the wall. On the other side it also has 3 flat pins cast into the plastic/rubberized female side. These are standard power cables for the majority of the sound/video equipment you will find in the market.

If the connector at the TV (male) is of the same type in power cord you have (female), in other words, if it fits and completely locks in, then, YES! Go ahead and use it. There is no problem whatsoever.

IMPORTANT - BEFORE CONNECTING THE CORD TO THE WALL ("live" power), please test if your connector fits the TV set completely.
I hope I have helped you.

Where can I get a philips deep fryers power cord. I lost the power cord.

If it is a non-magnet type you can purchase them here:
http://brands.hardwarestore.com/33-118-woods-industries.aspx

The first 2nd and 4th cords are the female cords.
I am thinking this is the cord your looking for:
http://electrical.hardwarestore.com/12-33-appliance-replacement-cords/appliance-cord-652573.aspx
Fits all standard brand roasters, broilers and deep fryers using pin spacing of 1-1/16".

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

Everything is unplugged, I just need a wiring schematic to plug everything back in

Does the motherboard have a "purple" socket?
Does your keyboard have a "purple" end?
If so, join the male to the female,
rotating the male until the stiff pins line-up with the holes.

Does the motherboard have a "green" socket?
Does your mouse have a "green" end?
If so, join the male to the female.

The end on the monitor's video-cable has 3 rows of pins;
there's only one place on the computer with 3 rows of holes.
Notice that the sides of the male are tapered,
so that it only fits ONE way into the female.

Similarly, the female end on the power-cord is tapered,
so that it only fits ONE way into the back of the computer.
Note where it connects -- there may be a "rocker" switch,
with a '1' and a '0' on the ends of the rocker.
Press the '0' end down before you reconnect everything.
Press the '1' end down after everything has been reconnected.

Do your PC speakers have a green tip?
If so, then connect the male from the speakers to the green female socket.

Need electric cord for percolator coffee pot

You can find replacement cords for many counter top
appliances at most appliance and building supply stores. Try Ace, Home Depot, Lowes. Take the coffee maker with you to make sure you are getting the correct cord.

The monitor has and adapter type power cord that plugs into the computer end of the VGA cable. Look for a small round hole at the PC end of the cable.

This is a very difficult question to answer without knowing more info, but here goes:

Check the power cable, there should be only place to plug it into. This may be one of several styles depending on your model, usually a 3 prong female (just like your PC's power cable) connector, or a single pin female connector (looks male but has a hole in the center) will connect to the back of the monitor.

If you get power, but no image: VGA connections will use a large blue connector with 15 round pins, 3 rows of 5. DVI will be a large white connector with slotted pins, with varying amounts of pins depending on the type of cable (analog, digital, or both). HDMI will be a small connector that resembles a large USB connector. You may also be using a composite or component cable, which will be color coded to the ports on the monitor.

All styles of connectors will physically only connect to the corresponding port. Check all connections and make sure they are all secure and connected to the correct locations on the monitor. Doing this should resolve your issue.
