Question about Vacuums

Open Question

I have a gamages sewing machine, and am unable to find any information about it on the internet. It did not come with a manual, and I am not sure what all the setting mean. I have identified the tension control, but there is another dial, with the following settings: R=reverse, F=Feed, 0=not sure what this means. But in this setting, there are other settings you can have i.e. 7, 15, 30... Would appreciate any advice. Thanks

SOURCE: MACHINE WILL ONLY SEW IN REVERSE

I had this problem with the same machine. I took it to a repairman and he found a piece of a broken needle underneath the metal plate where the needle goes down to sew. After this was removed, it worked properly.

Hello

Remove your needle and reinsert it to make sure it's straight and secure. Make sure the needle is in the "up" position (press the needle position button if it's not), power off the machine, and loosen the needle clamp screw. Pull the needle out and make sure it isn't bent. To reinsert it, push it back up into the clamp, flat side facing the back. Tighten the clamp screw to secure the needle.

The best solution might be a Tune-up of your machine(servicing)..you will have to take it in for a repairer for took things to be adjusted, oiled and set back to factory spec's and it will work fine again

This might cost you about 60 dollars

This might sound too basic for you but check that the thread is tight around the bobbin. Make sure that the bobbin is in the right way around - the bobbin thread should double back on itself coming out of the bobbin holder. The bobbin tension adjustment is the small screw in the plate on the bobbin case that the thread passes under as it comes off the bobbin and goes out. This might not be exactly the same as yours but should give you an idea of the position.

How to get Brother sewing machine apart to replace spool spindle.

To be honest the best thingon such instructions is the manual which is provided along with the machines, but many people don't have it , probably because they have lost the manual orthey have got the machine as a used one and forgot to take the manual alongwith it.

Please follow the belowinstructions :-

Close to the end of theHandwheel , there is usually a spindle, at the back of the machine.

This is where you need to restthe spool on and you would notice it sitting perfectly.

In case the length of the spindleis less , then pull it up gently with your fingers.

Also there are machines these dayswhich have easy to replace facilities , so the spindles just slide intothe machine for safety norms when you put the machine away.

Therefore , all you need to do it pullit up and it would be fine.

An example of a manual forbrother's sewing machine can be found in the below link which would give you anidea of how exactly it's done.

Try posting the machine number and name on the internet and google it, you may get it there or just go to a store that sells this machine and ask them if you can photocopy the manual.

Sewing manuel for singer sewing machine 9015T

Hi
Try the Singer website. http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html
Just type in 9015, do not include the letter T and click on search.
A list appears on the next page and a free download is available.
I'm not sure what your machine looks like as you have posted this in vacuums!
I hope it's the right manual for your machine.
