When the engine cuts out pull the spark plug and put the wire back on and ground the plug to the engine block and pull the cord to look for spark between the sparkplug gap. If no spark it could be that when the coil warms up it will caus no spark.

05 Nissan Altima 4.2l replaced valve cover, gasket, and spark plugs looks fine with no leaks and engine runs fine, now I have lots of white smoke at start up which goes away once engine is warm.

White smoke indicates water going through your engine or condensation in your exhaust. If it is a lot of smoke you probably have a small leak in your head gasket that seals back up as the engine warms and the materials expand. It will get worse as time goes on. If it's just a little smoke that doesn't last long it's probably condensation in your exhaust, especially if it's cold outside. Condensation is caused by the air cooling down in your exhaust after you shut down the engine.

I just had my oil changed and filter replaced. They said there was condensation in the filter, and that I may need a new head gasket. The care is a 2009 Saturn Aura. Thanks,

You might want to get a second opinion, and from a regular garage or dealership. There might be condensation in the valve cover or oil filler tube, but I doubt it in the oil filter. And that condensation can be from very cold weather or not driving the car enough to get it warmed up.

Engine cuts off when it gets warm have replaced fuel filter

You'll need to figure out if you are loosing spark or fuel pressure when it stops running.
I would say it is something electrical, could be anything from the ignition module to a relay.

When it gets really wet or goes through drive through wash cuts out - then starts after a while but runs really rough.

You need to change your HT leads and your distributor cap. When they get old they are very prone to allow moisture to penatrate and cause the leads and cap to ark causing poor running and starting. Try spraying a moisture repellent (WD40) on the leads and cap then run thru the car wash see if it helps. Good luck.

Unit does not cool. Original unit was replaced because of defective compressor. Replacement unit worked in store but now does not cool and alternates blowing cool and warm air.

Is this a window unit? Sounds like the compressor may be cutting on and off. That would cause the alternating air temp you are feeling. Make sure the condenser fan is running. If it isn't running head pressure will build up on the compressor until it shuts down. Then the pressure will equalize and the compressor will kick on again. Also check your filters and the condenser coil to make sure it is clean. Let me know what you find.

What is the problem when your driving and the car just cuts off when it get's warm? And in about an hour it cuts back on and does the same thing.

Could be a dirty fuel filter and the fuel pump starts to over heat causing the fuel pressure to drop, also a bad ICM (ignition control module) will cause this and eventually when it fails. the engine will not run.

Start with replacing the fuel filter and if that does not help, replace the ICM.

Thank you for using Fixya and good luck

When the engine gets warm it starts to cut out when sawing, take it off the log and give the engine it seems to sound right, Husqvarna 435 16 in chainsaw

1. Clean the air filter.
2. Drain and refill the fuel reservoir with freshly mixed fuel/oil.

It sounds as though the fuel setting isn't quite right. Don't try to adjust it with a dirty air filter (to lean once cleaned) or stale fuel.
If it still acts up I'd take it to a good local chainsaw seller/mechanic. It needs to be warm before adjusting and if they don't make a cut after the adjustment they would never get my saw again. HTH
