Hi ain613,

Using a programmable thermostat is one of the easiest way to save money and energy. It will also turn on and off your machine based on times, days and temperature automatically. IF you're looking for the instructions on how to program a thermostat, please try to do the following steps below. Hope it might help you.

1. If you look at your thermostat it displays the day and time. Please check if they are all set and correct. If not, open the control panel, then press the [Set Clock/day] button. Now to assign the correct day and time press [Ahead] or [Behind].
--> the thermostat runs the heating and cooling based on the day and time set.

2. To set the thermostat to heat, please look for small toggle switch towards the bottom of the thermostat.

4. Now press the [Set schedule]. On the Thermostat screen, you have time, days and temperature of the week and also the word [wake]. Use the [Ahead] or [Behind] button to set your preferred time that you want the heat to switch on, and the temperature for weekday mornings.

5. Again using the [Set schedule] use the [Ahead] and [Behind] buttons to set the time and temperature when leaving, returning home and even when going to sleep.

6. If you want to set up the wake, sleep times and temperature during weekends, try to repeat the same procedure.

7. For the thermostat to set to cooling, just repeat the steps on setting the days, times and temperature.

8. Last, don't forget to press the [Run program]. Press the [Run program] to start the cooling and heating.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

I have a honeywell programable thremostat, flashing "hold" at 63 degrees in the heat mode. What does this mean?

it means that you are in the hold mode. push run program and it will do the program. hold is used when you want to over ride the program, uplate, weekend, leaving town for a week. you can place it at say 63 or 75 what ever you want and then return to the program.

Lost program instructions freezing

Hi, on a programmable stat, you should be able to raise the temp with the arrow and then push hold temp. feature. This will hold the desired temp and get you heat unless you have a stat problem. Try this and let me know the settings. If this didn't work, make sure the stat is in the auto-heat posistion. Push program and set the again and set the day of week. Repeat this step and set the desired temp for each day of the week and week-end and push run program. You should hear it click on. It takes a min. or so on heat as there is a delay. Make sure the batteries are strong as they run the program. Let me no. Best of Luck, Sincerely, Shastalaker7

I set the tstat manualy for 77 and when we wake up it reads83 what? thanks

You have a pre-programmed thermostat. You'll need to put in settings for each program setting in order to have the thermostat provide you with the heating/cooling temperatures you want at each time period of the day and for each day of the week (in the case of a 7 day programmable model.

Whenever you put in a manual temperature setting, it is only a temporary setting that will get reset at the next pre-programmed temp setting, unless you set the "HOLD TEMP" setting and select the number of days you want it to hold the temp you manually set on the T-stat.

If you can provide the model number, I can help you further with the programming of your T-stat.

Hope this helps and best regards!
