What Are Similarities and Differences Between Console and Mini USB Interfaces?

A console interface can be connected to an operation terminal for onsite configuration. It must be used with a console cable. After a switch is powered on for the first time, you need to log in to the switch through the console interface to configure the switch.
A Mini USB interface is also used to connect the switch to an operation terminal. The Mini USB and console interfaces on a switch are multiplexed and enable connection to the switch through different types of physical interfaces. Only one of the Mini USB and console interfaces can be used at a time. The Mini USB interface is preferred.

How do I replace the lid switch on my Kenmore Series 80 washing machine I have the part

Hi

To replace the lid switch in a Whirlpool-built direct drive washer you’ll need to open it up. This washer use plastic end caps to cover the console screws. Just remove the console end caps and the console retaining screws are right there. Once you've removed the console screws, flip the entire control console up and back to reveal the cabinet retaining braces. After the cabinet is pulled back from washer you’ll be able to see the lid switch. You can inspect whether the lid switch is disconnected or burnt, use a multimeter to check the continuity of the lid switch.

Please post back for any further assistance.

Create program for A-D:

A.) If else statement using Javascript
<script type="text/javascript">
//If the time is less than 10, you will get a "Good morning" greeting.
//Otherwise you will get a "Good day" greeting.

var d = new Date();
var time = d.getHours();

if (time < 10)
{
document.write("Good morning!");
}
else
{
document.write("Good day!");
}
</script>

B.) Switch Case Statement Using C#
using System;

class SwitchSelect
{
public static void Main()
{
string myInput;
int myInt;

begin:

Console.Write("Please enter a number between 1 and 10: ");
myInput = Console.ReadLine();
myInt = Int32.Parse(myInput);

// switch with integer type
switch (myInt)
{
case 1:
Console.WriteLine("Your number is {0}.", myInt);
break;
case 2:
Console.WriteLine("Your number is {0}.", myInt);
break;
case 3:
Console.WriteLine("Your number is {0}.", myInt);
break;
default:
Console.WriteLine("Your number {0} is not between 1 and 3.", myInt);
break;
}

decide:

Console.Write("Type \"continue\" to go on or \"quit\" to stop: ");
myInput = Console.ReadLine();

// switch with string type
switch (myInput)
{
case "continue":
goto begin;
case "quit":
Console.WriteLine("Bye.");
break;
default:
Console.WriteLine("Your input {0} is incorrect.", myInput);
goto decide;
}
}
}

C. For Loop Statement using C++
for(i=10; i > -1; i--)
{
if(i == 0)
cout << "Blast Off!" << endl;
else
cout << i << endl;
}
}

D. While Loop Using Java
void main() {

int counter = 1;

while(counter < 5 )
{
printLine("counter is equal to " + counter);

counter = counter + 1 ;
}

printLine("Goodbye");
}

Kenmore Model # 110.26842691 my Heavy Duty Wash setting is not working.. is it a bad switch

The cycle switch is faulty or the Heavy Duty Wash terminal connection is loose. Check it first before ordering a replacement part.

Disconnect power to the washer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.

The console is held to the cabinet by two screws hidden under the console end cap trims. Remove the end cap trims to access the screws by pulling or prying its top off the console.

Remove the screws at the front bottom corners of the console. Once the screws are removed, slightly pull the console to the front then flip it to the rear of the washer to access the switch.

Check the switch for any physical damage. Disconnect the wiring harness from the switch terminals and clean both the terminals and the connector. Reseat the connector several times to ensure good connections.

Replace the switch (part #3949181) when damage is found or when cleaning and reseating the connectors do not resolve the problem.

Pull the knob off the switch shaft and release the switch from the console. Install the new switch in place and insert the knob to the switch shaft.

Flip the console back to the top of the cabinet and align the tabs in the console end caps with the slots on the cabinet. Insert the tabs into the slots and secure the console to the cabinet with the two screws previously removed.

Cisco catalyst 3500xl (24 port) bad console

It is possible that your console port is configured for a different baud rate. Try to change your baud rate on your hyper terminal going from 115200 down to 2400. If it doesn't work you might have a problem with 232 driver chip that is located on the board next to your console port. You will not be able to find a schematics for this switch, it is not available for the public.
You can send this switch to me. I will glad to fix it for you.

Good luck.

Connecting to console

The proper way to console to a switch (at least as far as Cisco Catalyst Switches are concerned) is a rollover cable and a DB9 adapter... I then use HyperTerminal to connect..

What type of switch are you connecting to, and what kind of hardware are you using?

I always use Cisco for networking (Cisco is the king of switches and routers).. here is their step by step for connecting to one of their swtiches:
