You don't say what kind of wire you are using. If using coax, just screw the coax connector onto the back of the set, the other end should fasten to the connector on your outside antenna, If you are using 300 ohm wire, then you need to purchase an adapter that goes from 300 ohm to coax connector (these are called balun connectors) you can get one at radio shack..
