If the counter weight is still in 1 piece and you have the screws and the support brackets and screw holders on the drum are ok then you just need to re-fit it.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France

I suspect that the machine has been rockin' and rollin'?

You will obviously have to have the counterweight replaced, presumably by an engineer (?) but in the meantime, even without it fitted, it is necessary to ensure absolutely that the machine, even when empty, has all 4 feet very firmly on the floor, and I mean firmly ;-0)

Doesn't matter whether it is empty or not but switch it off then-
very firmly push one front corner diagonally into the centre of the machine and see if the machine moves or rocks AT ALL, even the slightest. If it does you will need the open-ended spanner which came with the (new) machine........which of course went missing a long time ago?!! An adjustable spanner will suffice.
Adjust the foot under that corner downwards until it is very firmly- almost pushing- against the floor but not so far that the corner lifts up!
If this corner did not rock do the same to the other.
Once you cannot rock the machine the slightest little bit, screw the locking nuts up tight to the underside of the machine so that they will not move. Ideally the rear feet should also be locked.

Good luck,

John C

THERE S A THIN NOT REAL LARGE CONCRETE BLOCK INSTALLED AT THE FACTORY UNDER THE MACHINE. A STRAP MAY HAVE LOOSENED OR BROKE, AND THE BLOCK MAY BE MISSING. ANY SMALL YET HEAVY WEIGHT WILL WORK.
IT APPEARS YOUR BOOTY MAY BE ACTING AS THE COUNTER WEIGHT!...IF NOT,,CHECK THE CONDITION OF THE TRANSMISSION COUNTER WEIGHT (AT BASE OF TUB UNDERNEATH)

Can not get rubber around the drum

ut goes around the plastic drum , just pull the lip over to lock it into place. I would recommend that you take off the concrete counter weight to make it easier since you got the front off

The 2 concrete blocks on the front of the drum have come off. what's the easiest way to get to them to put them back on?

Are you referring to the two counter weights that are suppose to screw onto the front section of the drum behind the front concealment panel?

If so, these weights don't just fall off. If they just fell off, this means the mounting has failed. They are quite simple to install. They generally are screwed into place. Click here to view an exploded diagram of the unit. The counter weights are labeled as 321 and 322 on the provided diagram. Are those the "concrete blocks" you are referring to?

Washer makes knocking noise while in spin cycle. Shock absorbers have been replaced and are good and machine is level. Kenmore Elite H E 3T Model #44932

Check your front and rear counter-weights. They are made of concrete and start to chip away. More so the rear than the front. When you open it up look on the base and see if you have chips or chunks of concrete. I had that problem as well - also make sure you spray lube inside, check your "Spider" wheel, and belt.

Kenmore HE2 Plus Front Washer knocks very loud on spin cycle and a belt or something has been coming out in pieces for the last few weeks

I just took the back off my older kenmore front loader and discovered that the concrete counter weight had come off the drum and fallen to the bottom of the machine. Reattached it and knocking has stopped, lucky it didn't trash the machine as it is normally attached to the top of the drum.

My washing machine shakes so much when spinning that it comes out of it's slot from under the counter. I think the weight in the machine has fallen as there is cement dust on under the machine

sometimes the concrete weights come loose, it will need to be dismantled ( back, top, front, off) to see where. could need new fixing bolts or screws. when weights have been refixed ,make sure the machine stands firmly on the floor on all four feet and doesn'twobble at all

Suspension pads? where are they do you have a good diagram?

most suspensions on machines use 2 springs on top of the drum and 2 suspension legs on the bottom. ( similar to a car shock absorber) just make sure the bottom concrete counter weight is not loose , this will cause violent a shake
