Sounds like you need to install drivers.

Always get your drivers and specific software from the manufacturer of your Laptop, Notebook or Desktop. They are usually free of charge.

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, usually one is able to download if available, by model number, All available Driver downloads as required.

If the driver is not available, perhaps your manufacturer does not support the OS you are installing.

This is the best way of ensuring up to date drivers for your system and they are free of charge!

I hope this helps.

Hello, my macbook moise will not let me click anything. I am able to move the mouse anywhere on the screen but when I go to click it will not let me press on anything. I was wondering what the cause of...

An external mouse will work fine just plug it into one of the usb ports and you should be up and running. If your macbook is still under warranty take it into the apple store and they should replace the trackpad without too much fuss.

According to what I have read this happens quite a lot on some models of macbooks.

If it is out of warranty someone made the following comment on one of the websites I looked at "Simply push ******* the trackpad and apply pressure across the whole surface." But I would recommend not to push too hard as you could totally damage the macbook.

There is a video on youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuYO0I-DY84&feature=results_video&playnext=1&list=PL0437205F5525C959 which shows you how to repair a trackpad

Hope one of these suggestions help you.

Dear sir How can I expand the web page to a full screen on my macBook when I am working with Safari? thanks

Point the mouse at the bottom-right corner of the browser's window, and click-and-hold on that corner. Then, "drag" the mouse-pointer both "down" and "right", and then release the mouse.

Hi i have an apple display connected to my macbook

Unplug the display from your macbook, and restart your macbook, when it's fully restarted and you are logged in, plug the display back in, then check to see if it is detected. Macbooks don't like to be put to sleep (shutting the lid) with a display connected, this causes issues with display detection. So always unplug your display and wait about 5 seconds before closing the lid on your macbook, and when you open the lid, wait another 5 seconds before plugging in your display. The only time it is acceptable to leave the display plugged in when you close the lid is when you plan to use the macbook in clamshell mode, this is done by plugging in and configuring your display, shutting the lid, and then "waking" the macbook from sleep mode with an external mouse (wired or wireless will work). That will start the macbook using the external display as the main display, without even turning on the macbook built-in display. Never connect or disconnect an external display when your macbook is off or in sleep mode. Have a nice day.

Error

Hi,

That error code means your HDD is dead..
It may be corrupt; it's unusable.
You will need a new SATA HDD.

does an external mouse or keypad work? if so, try navigating to your system preference using an external mouse and check settings. Also check error logs.

If you have "good batteries" installed in the mouse and keyboard and you still have the problem- the best way is to remove the devices via the System Preference panel in your MacBook and then re-install them again. It is important that you remove them first as the system may revert to the previous connection. Good luck!

Tap feature on MAcbook 2.4Ghz 2GB

I am running mac OS 10.5.5 and Win XP using parallels.  You need to make sure the system preferences in the mac OS to allow two fingers for secondary click using the trackpad. This allows you to right click in Win XP.
I find using two fingers and clicking the button works more reliably in windows xp.  I usually have to try two finger tapping a few times.

To right click by tapping: Go to System Preferences and choose Keyboard & Mouse.  Select "Clicking" and "Tap trackpad using two fingers for secondary click". This allows you to tap the trackpad with two fingers side by side to get the "right click" effect.  You can also right click without tapping with this setting.

To right click without tapping:
Go to System Preferences and choose Keyboard & Mouse.  Select "For secondary clicks, place two fingers on the trackpad then click the button". This allows you to right click by placing two fingers on the trackpad and then clicking the mouse button. 0acf97a.png
