Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router

Can a Barnes & Noble Nook (has 3G) work with a Linksys E1000 wireless router? I.e., for the purpose of using a desktop/laptop for the Internet though this connection. Gratefully, Richard

Hello,
A 3G Nook can use both 3G connections and wi-fi connections provided by almost all routers, including WRT54G.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I have an older Nook and it's not accepting my internet password. It says it's incorrect, but I've checked and it's the right one

Check to make sure the date/time on the Nook is correct. If it is too different from your router, it can prevent a connection.

How do i get books on my nook now that barnes and noble have stopped supplying them

Barnes & Noble stopped doing APPS. they still do book.
Other books can also be put on you NOOK. Project Gutenberg now has over 30,000 free titles. You basically download onto your computer and read it using Calibre, a free e-reader. Or, then plug the Nook into your computer and transfer the e-book to your Nook. The non-B&N books can't be in the same place as B&N books, but you can make separate folders under My Files. For other books, if they are epub or PDF, you can read them on Nook. (Comic books are often in .cba, .cb7 which can also be read.) Some sites (Google Play and LULU for example) have multiple formats and it is not easy to learn which will work on your Nook.

Unable to hook up Nook. Wont accept the password I use for my computer. Please advise. I was at Barnes & Noble and they got on to their system to register and upgrade it.

If you are using WPA for securing your wireless access point then the nook will not work with that security protocol. You will need to use WEP or WPA2.

I recently bought a new book and my nook wont let me view it it keeps telling me to put in my name and credit card number

In order to start using your Nook, you'll need to register it through the Barnes & Noble website - I've shared the steps below. Once you've registered it, you will be able to start purchasing and reading books. Please note that you will need to set-up a B&N.com account first. That is done on BN.com and simply click "new user account." Once you have set that up, follow the below Nook set-up steps.
NOOK Set-Up Steps
  1. Charge your new NOOK 3G or NOOK Wi-Fi for 3-hours from a wall outlet using the Power Adapter and USB Cable packed at the bottom of your NOOK box.
  2. Turn on your NOOK by pressing the power button at the top.
  3. Connect to Wi-Fi.
  4. Register your device by entering your BN.com account email.
  5. Tap the down arrow button in the lower right corner of your color touchscreen.
  6. Enter your BN.com password.
  7. Tap Submit
