This happens when the wireless network card fails to get an IP address from the wireless router.
To get the router to issue your wireless network card with a new IP address, right click on the wireless card icon on the task bar and click Repair.

Try restoring the D-Link back to the factory defaults and then re-configure the D-Link.
To reset the D-Link back to the default settings -
Press and hold the RESET button at the back of the router with the power ON until the LEDs flash at the time the release the RESET button.
Connect a LAN cable from the D-Link to your computer's LAN port, open a browser and enter the D-Link's configuration URL. OR open the browser on your laptop and enter the D-Link's configuration URL..http://192.168.0.1
    The default login = admin
The default PW = blank (just press Enter)
You can now configure the wireless settings.

Well the thing is my D-link is network card not a router... my router works very well. I got 3 laptops connected to that router and all of them work perfect. The laptop wich has d-link airplus G dwl 630 ver e card also has intel wierless card in it ( D-link networkcard is just an extra card) but intel wierless cart with is intergrated in computer aint working.. i added drivers to intel card but it connects to network and then disconnects right away..

Is it possible that having 2 network cards disturb each other? meby if i swich out intel network card from bios and try use only d link card? because i allready tryed just intel network card without d link network card...

I have a dwl g630 wireless ccard 802.11g/2.4ghz and i cant find the software for it. when i put it into the laptop it dosent search the networks.

Hello
If you go to http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=DWL-G630 and click "Support Resources" you'll find instructions on how to determine which version of DWL-G630 you have got. If you then click on the link for your version you will find a link for "Drivers" and you should find all the appropriate software available for the card.
Hope this helps :-)

Why cant i connect my dlink

Forget the D-Link drivers!!! I suffered with this same DWL-G630 issue for two years, trying different settings, reloading drivers, all with no solution. My card kept dropping it's connection, or wouldn't connect at all until I removed then replaced the card. Finally, I read on another forum this card uses the same chipset as an ASUS card, and to try the ASUS drivers. I downloaded and manually installed the drivers from here:

ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/lan/wifi-g/wifi-g.zip

Unzip it, but DON'T run the setup.exe file, because it will try to install the ASUS program. If you open the unzipped folder you will find another folder called "Drivers". Just use your Network Settings (from your Control Panels) to manually update the driver of your DLink card, and navigate to the Drivers folder just mentioned. Reboot -- you'll probably have to reconnect to your access point/router one last time, but that's it! It's good as gold after that.

I was used to losing connections 5-8 times PER DAY (I'm 15 feet from the router!) and now I've been connected non-stop for two weeks and counting!!

so your saying that your using the pcmcia card on an older dell laptop. everything else works but that...

have you tried uninstalling the drivers and re-installing again? or maybe you need some updates on your D-Link wifi card.

older dell laptops usually have driver issues so be patient with that.
