Question about Toshiba Tecra A1 Notebook
You may try this; Turn OFF the laptop, remove the power sources (ac adapter and battery). Without power sources, hold power button 10 secs. Put back the power sources, and power ON the NB. Then test the keyboard.
If problem persist, check Also the language set on your laptop. Go to control panel/Regional and language, make sure that it is in English.
If same problem persist, uninstall and reinstall the keyboard driver. Restart the NB to take effect.
The drivers are located in device manager.
For XP: Control panel (classic view)/systems/click hard ware/device manager/keyboard (expand).
For Vista: Control panel (classic view)/device manage/keyboard (expand).
For 7: Control panel (small icons)/device manage/keyboard (expand).
If problem persist, send the laptop for repair. Contact Toshiba, if you're still in warranty to send for repair at no cost. For non warranty, sending it for repair will cost you $175.99.
