My Samsung TV picture has gone really small and into the top right hand corner - is this easily fixed?

  • Anonymous Aug 03, 2013

IT JUST HAPPENED TO ME! AND I FOUND NO HELP. IF IT'S HOOKED TO A PVR, OPEN A RECORDED SHOW, THEN STOP AND SAVE. SCREEN SHOULD GO BACK TO NORMAL ON THE TV. AS I JUST DISCOVERED!

This is a simple remote problem. It is the picture option. Just make sure your remote is on TV and press help. It should turn that screen on and off

It sounds like you may have your tv in "picture in picture" mode, which would explain the small picture in one part of your screen. easiest fix is to unplugg the tv from the power ( from the wall) and let it set for at least a minute. plug it back in and see if it comes back to normal. You might also be advised to try looking in the manual for the picture in picture function to see how it works

Dlp tv has smattering of white (and just a few black) squares in upper right hand corner. Thick at corner then thining as spreads. Covers1/4 of picture. The rest of the picture is perfect.

You have a bad DMD board. It is easily replaced but not easily aligned. I would suggest having a technician look at the TV. The DMD board is the board with the million little mirros on it. The white squares indicate a few mirrors sticking in the on position reflecting the light from the lamp constantly. The black are just the opposite reflecting no light at all.

Syncmaster 710 mp picture in picture

Do you have the remote with it? It is the PIP button. When I press that button, I get the small TV picture in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Built in tv guide channel

It's possible there is a flaw with your TV but more likely the listing information is being blocked. Many cable companies do this, likely another reason to force you into buy/leasing their equipment. This should not be a problem with OTA.

Screen green and purple in two corners

I am in agreement with the second solution. TVs, when moved from one location to another have a tendency to show color patches in the corners. A few days of usage, and the auto degaussing circuits will clear the problem. Also make sure that there are no Magnet Sources nearby (Un sheilded Speakers, some Power supply of amplifiers, A 2-in-1 music system, your kids walky-talky toy, etc.) Pravin
