Question about Kakasoft KaKa Private Disk

1 Answer

The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.

Sounds like you are attempting to install the 64 bit version on a 32 bit PC. You will need a 32 bit install disk.

Hi, you can check which version of Windows you have by clicking on the Start button (the Vista orb) and from the Start menu, right click on Computer. Choose Properties from the menu that appears, and you'll see a lot of information about your computer. There should be a line that says whether you have a 32-bit version of Vista or a 64-bit version. Depending on which version you have, you'll need to download the compatible version of iTunes. You can download both versions here:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

For the 32-bit version, click the Download Now button; for the 64-bit version, scroll down to where you see the link for 64-bit installer on the left hand side and click it.

Hope that helps!

Heres the trick to it. You download the version you need 32 bit or 64 bit save the download.
next locate your download right click it choose properties click on the compatibility tab.
there is a choice to run it in compatibility mode check the box and select your operating system.
next you need to check the option to run as an administrator witch is at the bottom of the
compatability tab apply these options and hit ok.
finaly you will right click it and choose run as administrator wait for the installer to start and follow the promts. and you can use your printer. Depending on your version of Win7 and your computer specs, you could try to run the software in the XP mode (Pro or Ultimate). This is a virtual machine and needs dedicated memory and does not directly share files or peripherals with the real machine. It has worked well on our machines for several older programs (Win2K and XP versions) - these were 32 bit programs and ran on a 64 bit Win7 Pro machine.

Running the program in the compatibility mode might work as well (right click, choose properties and then the compatibility tab).

I hope this helps.
