Question about Dell Computers & Internet
Hello Kokilema, hi, looks like your drive is failing up on you. you should back up more often. there are several ways to get your files back, here are some tips you may try.
1. Open up your computer and check for loose wiring on your drive, do this power off. 2. remove your hard drive and connect it on another computer, see if it gets detected. then back it up. you may never get a chance again. 3. if you reach this part. try swapping out the logic board of the bad hard drive with the same logic board of another hard drive of the same model. (very remote, if possible only. maybe the logic board is bad.) 4. do the same thing with the disk platters. swap a good logic board. 5. this is where the part you worry. return everything back. then try using disk manager, download this from the hard disk manufacturer website. 6. try this link http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1139 7. if you reach this part, pay for professional service. there are companies out there that offers hard drive recovery. mind you this is expensive, if the data are worth it, then go. google one on the internet under hard disk recovery companies.
