Exactly same thing happened to me but in a way worse. I have a Sumsung RF710 Laptop that Cyberlink YouCam v2.0 was preinstalled. I kept getting update messages. Cut a long story short the only thing I could do was get YouCam v 5 trial version from CNet. I was quite happy to pay the Upgrade but the payment page run by AskNet simply doesn't work. Has anyone tried to get real customer service out of Cyberlink or AskNet. Forget it. Just sent round in circle after circle. Meanwhile am stuck with a camera that is frozen. Number of issues. OEM manufacturers should not permit 3rd party vendor software onto their systems that ultimately take away functions for their equipment buyers. Software houses should not use payment service providers with defective payment pages. And the social communities should flash major warnings about Cyberlink and AskNet. Time for our own mini Egypt uprising if you ask me!!

Have you tried doing a system restore. Start --> Run -->restore Then double click on rstrui and walk through menu system and select a restore point before the problems started or maybe even the first restore that way you should be sure to find the driver again.
