Connecting creative 4.1 speakers with my HP Compaq 6720s laptop

Dear sir,
i am facing a problem to connect my CREATIVE 4.1 (M4500) speakers with my Compaq 6720s laptop ,because when i connect the sub-woofer outputs to the laptop, I hear sound from the front speakers only. Now I dont know what to do. So please assist me with this and tell me if there any branded device or cable is present in the market which can resolve my problem without reducing the sound quality.

If the DC jack in the laptop is getting to hot it indicates bad connections on the motherboard where the jack is seated, it will need to be dismantled and inspected, plus the power supply adapter checked for proper plug fitting.

How do i connect my Creative T6160 speakers to my laptop.

Your speakers are 5.1, but your laptop has 2.0 audio output, which means that it is a simple stereo (left and right channel output). You will need to connect a USB sound card (such as the Creative X-Fi Surround 5.1) with 5.1 channel connectivity in order to connect your speakers.
Hope this helps.

I have just recieved external speakers for compaq 6720s but not sure where to attatch it,please help.

You would normally connect external speakers to a laptop using the laptop's headphone port. The cable coming from the speakers would normally have a green connector on the end and would plug directly in.

If you have a bigger, more complex speaker system then you would need to determine what connections are possible to the speakers and what outputs are provided on your laptop. The most common audio out ports (for PC's, not so much laptops) are SP-DIF Coaxial and Optical. These would provide full digital surround sound signals from your computer but are not found commonly on laptops.

My best guess would be the above green connector to headphone port setup. The rest is a bit optimistic for an everyday laptop.

Computer can not connect to wireless modem ("Valet),has been running fine for 4-5 months. Ran network diagnostice "Windows has detected connection problem....."

If you are facing the connection problem, you need to do the following step.
Open Command Prompt, type ipconfig/release, after few seconds type ipconfig/renew. This will assign a new IP. Now you try to connect. If still facing the issue means you need to download and install a new wireless driver that is suitable for your operating system.

Please let me know once you check this.
