Question about ASUS K8V-MX Motherboard
You will need to go to asus website type in that model number to update your sata/ide drivers. BUT FIRST if its connected via a ribbon gray cable (ide) ther eis a white jumper on the back of the hard drive the jumper may be black anyway it needs to be set into slave mode it will be listed on the hd on how to do that LET ME KNOW IF THAT FIXED IT.

there are 4 different k8v motherboard types, you didnt say which variant?
but you shouldnt need any 3rd party drivers, either the one built into the cmos, or the ones that are on the cd rom that comes with the motherboard should work fine with win2003.
they have always been fine on my installs, just ignore the question on the initial setup, its only asking incase you need to use one, you dont have to.
